A strange kind of place

It's come to my attention (from multiple sources) that in a little less than two weeks, it will be my birthday. It's on Easter weekend again, which is kind of sucky, but at least it's the Friday and not on Sunday itself.



I'm not quite sure how I feel about my birthday. I usually don't do anything much, and only in the recent years have started celebrating a bit by going out the night of my birthday with my friends. It's just... a day, you know? And it's not like this is a 'special' birthday that should be celebrated in a big way, like 16, 18, or 21.

But this year is gonna be Disneyland (since I can get in for free) with friends. Oops. I suppose I should confirm that with Aoi, Pet, and K-chan. :P Hopefully the weather will be good, since I'm the kind of person who likes to go to a theme park right when it opens, and stay until they kick me out. I just have to make sure I have enough money to stay fed and sugared-up the whole day. X3;;

I suppose one reason I don't like my birthday is because now whenever it rolls around, I remember my grandmother, who died on my birthday a few years back. =__=;; That was a kind of sucky birthday present. Oh, and I'm pretty sure my parents aren't getting me anything this year, since they didn't get me anything for Christmas either. Mom is going to the Philippines the week after my birthday (for her school reunion), so money is pretty tight because of that. Bleh. We're probably just going to have the 'family party' on Easter Sunday, since my aunt and her family usually spend Easter with us anyway.

*sighs* I wish I would win the lottery for my birthday. That would be cool.

I know it might be iffy to get there at 9am considering there will be Friday morning traffic. :x But if I'm actually gonna go out I wanna spend the whole day out, you know?

And I still need to talk to Aoi (who I know is going). We're probably gonna carpool, but I think it might be better if you drive yourself since you're closer? We're gonna have to leave earlier because of the Riverside traffic. I'm not sure. I still need to figure it out.

... you're not supposed to ask me what I want for my birthday. It should be a surprise. :x And you know what sorts of things I like check my wishlist.

I think it might be all day/night at Disney. Doesn't it close at midnight or something? Me and Aoi also talked about maybe going to Downtown Disney and walking around if we got tired of Disneyland.

... though, I'm also thinking of seeing if I can get reservations for the Blue Bayou restaurant in the Pirates ride. Except that it's apparently kinda fancy (and thus, expensive) to eat dinner there. Though I've always wanted to.

The Restaurant is about 20-30 bucks per person. I might be able to handle it.

I thought about that too, but it's also gonna be Easter weekend. I know Sunday will be a family day for me.

And yeah, it's $20-30 for the entrees, more once you add drinks and dessert. I'm totally having dessert on my birthday. Hey, do you have an annual pass to Disneyland? I read somewhere that if you have an annual pass, you get 15% off your meal.

Well I live down here alone, so Easter doesn't mean much to me anymore.

I have the deluxe passport. I'm not sure if I save any money at the Blue Bayou. :/

And that sucks. I thought you had the annual pass for some reason. Though, you can always split the plates at Blue Bayou, but they charge an additionaly $5 for that. K-chan just called me, and it looks like she'd be able to go to Disney too. ^^;;

I do have an annual pass. XD It's the Deluxe annual passport, so if I get any money off it'll be 10%, but I'm not sure mine works at that resturant. Yay! :D

Ack! I have a dentist appointment at 9am! T_T I'm hoping it'll last less than an hour, but oy... this is probably do-able, albeit bordering on complicated! XD

Hi! It's the pet to chime in about prices on behalf of May!

The ticket is gonna be 69.00. :D She wants to go to dinner at the Blue Bayou which is pricey 30 bucks a plate :/ BUT if push come to shove Aoi doesn't mind spliting a plate with you if money is tight.

T_T Oh no. I was hoping you'd be able to go. I didn't think the park admission was gonna be that expensive either. Would you be able to go to Downtown Disney? Then we could come out of the park and hang out or something. :/
