... apparently, I am now a fan of Manchester United. It was the only soccer/'football' team name I could think of off the top of my head.

Flist, please do not slaughter me.

If you haven't figured it out, today is a spamming day.

At the library. Of course.

One good thing about this wireless cafe section is that I was able to bring in my sandwich and drink from Subway (mmm ham&swiss) and eat it here at the table while I did my internet surfing and survey taking (yay completed the Treasure Trooper survey today which was, interestingly enough, about my online habits). And I still have my soda, and didn't have to throw it out half-full like I used to. Yay.

Apparently Photobucket is being blocked by the library today, which sucks because I was gonna upload my JRock Revo pics. =__=;; I guess I'll just chuck them all in my LJ ScrapBook. I was gonna pick at my Live Report today/tonight, as I expect that it will be very very long. And I wanted to add pictures and such because they're pretty (even if I take the crappiest pics in the world).

Mmmrrrrrr... back to the grind.

Well, I promised I'd put up these pictures tonight, so here they are. ^__^ I apologize if they're fuzzy and such. I kinda suck at taking pictures.

cut for pictures of my check and MOO Cards )

Managed to do my banking today (yes, I like going into the bank and talking to a teller for some strange reason) and got my lunch (crazy Spongebob guy was working the drive-thru window of McD's again). Am not raping Aoi-chan's new wireless (she got a new router) because she is taking care of the baby today and tired and taking a nap. *pats her* I will rape hardcore tomorrow.

Anyway, at the library (duh) and for some reason they're doing construction EVERYWHERE on my normal driving routes, so the commute was a little GRRRRRRR. >_>;; And now I'm sitting in the wireless cafe and the elevator in front of me is broken so the doors keep opening and closing of their own will. Aaaahh... smells like a Monday.

Took a pic of my check from Treasure Trooper, so that will go up tonight, along with pics of my MOO Cards. Also, I gave in and made MOO Cards for [livejournal.com profile] windup_boytoy. X3! They're so cool.

Yesterday I went to see PotC:AWE with Aoi-chan (such a good movie!) and visited K-chan. ♥ It was a good day.

... there are many things I could say about the LJ apology but... I'm tired and don't know where to start or end and get stuck in the middle too. I'm just glad the fandom LJs are being returned, but I will still be somewhat leery of LJ for awhile. They seem to have a bad habit of Doing Shit That Makes People Angry and then apologizing for it after, when people complain and call them on it.

Bleh.

In other news, Aoi-chan's internet is dead. I was not the one that killed it. I don't like snuff. But I did get to play Guitar Heero Hero and now my arm and wrist are kinda achy. Also, I need to take my cool pictures of my check and MOO cards. :3
windandwater: (Dear LJ)
Wonderful. XP

I am making my blanket statement right now to ease any worries: I am NOT locking down my LJ nor deleting any possibly 'offensive' content. In fact, when I checked my interests, the worst thing there was 'tentacles' and 'bunnies'. I didn't delete those either, btw.

I will not let the Weeaboos of Ignorance scare me off my own journal.

Since I started this LJ years and years ago (ogod in undergrad), I made it a policy to keep this journal open for public viewing and commentary. I do not delete even the most noxious of flames (but I will publically mock you for it). I have, in the years this journal has existed, only flocked a small handful of entries that were of extreme personal nature.

Basically, if you want to read about what I had for lunch (many entries on this subject, today is tater tots and fried shrimp), listen to me whine about the library (yes, it's very cold), or even... possibly! ... read pr0n when I put it up (hahaha I haven't written in awhile, so keep wishing), HAVE AT. I only require an open mind, an appreciation for irreverent humor, and I'd sorta like it if you were semi-literate (or else you wouldn't be reading this journal anyway).

Now that I've said that, I feel much better.

Let's move on to other things, shall we?

-----------------------------------------------------

In an effort to not be a downer, here is a list of happy things that happened to me that I would like to share:

-- I DID get my check from Treasure Trooper. It came last week (Thursday to be exact) and I still haven't had time to go to the bank and deposit it. I will be taking a picture of it for proof. ^____^
-- I got my free 10-pack of MOO Cards in the mail yesterday! They are so little and cute, and yes, I will take pictures of them too, just to share the cuteness! Now I really want to make up a second set for an RP account just for fun.
-- My full JRock Revolution concert report for both days is upcoming! I want to make it all pretty with pictures and such, so those still need to be uploaded. I think it's just taken me this long to finally settle and process everything that happened. I do, however, have one of my videos up online already. Yes, I joined YouTube just to share my vids. ^^ I apologize for the shakiness and the sound of my screechy screaming (you can hear my voice strain and crack at some points).
-- I was supposed to go rape Aoi-chan's wireless to the library today, but apparently the maternal unit ordered some sort of storage system to be delivered today (like a shed for the backyard or something), so I have to stay here to get it. Bleh. I hope to see Pirates 3 tomorrow then. *prods Aoi*

That's it for now, I think. Time for lunch. And then a shower. And then the shed-thingy should get here.

WHOO!

A bunch of good things so far as I checked my e-mail and regular haunts on teh internets, and I feel like sharing the joy.

-- As I mentioned before, Trickster patched last night, so the event works properly. ♥
-- Donation Letters opened today on Gaia, and the items are AWESOME. Demonic/Evil Anklets (WHY YES I WOULD LIKE TO SHACKLE MY BOY TO THE GROUND ILU GAIA), and Youkai/Oni items... INCLUDING NINE TAILS. AND A KIMONO FOR YUKI-ONNA. ♥ ♥
-- It is Haagen-Daz New Flavor Day! Go get your free scoop of ice cream from them. It's from 4-8pm! ♥ ♥ ♥
-- Who doesn't love Japanese acrobats? ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
-- Got an e-mail from Treasure Trooper saying that my check is in the mail! An extra $25.05 to put in my pocket! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

As I stated before, I joined Treasure Trooper roughly a month ago, after [livejournal.com profile] moffit had pimped it and actually got a check from them. Since someone I knew actually got money from this, and the posts on the forum there seem pretty legit and stuf, I decided to try it out myself.

I've been mincing on writing this review/FAQ-type thingy, but since it's a lazy Saturday and it's hot, I figured what the hell. Also, I finally got over the $20 mark (more info on this later), so I should be getting my check sometime next month (since I missed the deadline for this one).

So, here we go... Treasure Trooper, the Good, the Bad, and the Mindless.

cut for reviews, tips, and stuff like that )

Well, that's Treasure Trooper. I wouldn't say that it's easy money, but it certainly is money that is available for you to get your hands on, once you jump through all the hoops.

Just play it smart, don't give out your personal info unless the site is secure, get used to filling out surveys/advertising/ticky boxes/buttons, AND GET A NEW E-MAIL ADDRESS OMG.

Have fun!

So, my birthday passed very well and I was very happy. Thank you to everyone who wished me happy birthday and felt like spamming it up in my LJ post. XD ♥

As I said, I went out to a birthday dinner to Yamazato of Japan with my parents and friends. They have AWESOME Japanese food there (obviously) and Pet was very good and had a "Yamazato Boat" with me. It's this wooden boat filled with tempura veggies and shrimp, pork katsu, chicken teriyaki, salad and comes with California rolls and green tea ice cream. I wanted to go to Yamazato's JUST so I could have a boat. It was DELICIOUS. We had lots of good conversation during dinner, and we were seated by the fish tank/aquarium thing. YAY FISH. Decorative fish, not fish for eatings. I like smacking the glass of tanks to scare fish. :3

After dinner we went to Morongo's for a bit of gambling. I lost alot but had fun. Pet was the big winner of the night h0r. She is the Mayor of Caketown. :P

Tomorrow we're going out again for some shopping at the Outlet place near Morongo (and maybe more gambling). I don't plan on buying anything except food. There's a Starbuck's there. Whee. We'll see what happens though.

On the Trickster front, I've FINALLY hit level 48. There's a new event up and it's pretty easy to complete (did it for all three accounts), but the TMexp and EXP rewards were kinda sucky even though the item rewards were godly. And we could only do the monster quest portion once instead of multiple times like in past events. Suuuuck. The one good thing was that for the event, they opened up the Snow Hill area. It normally takes Red Noses to teleport there (and back), the monsters are lvl 101+, and the drill depth is either 60 or 80m. Because of the event, they had to make it safe for everyone so the monsters are now non-aggro (but still 101+), the drill depth is only 20m, and teleporting only costs 1g to get there and you get to keep the Red Noses to come back. I took the opportunity to drill like a FIEND up there (got lots of expensive potions and Red Noses and gems like Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire), and I was taking potshots at the monsters. One is magic-weak, and even though it takes me almost ALL my MP in flinging Mana Arrow and lots of running around to kill one, it's fun. Plus, it levels me up SUPERFAST. I think I'll stay up there until I break lvl 50 if I can (depending on how long the event runs). Wheeeeeeeee.

In other news, I need to make a post about Treasure Trooper since I joined it and it works (yay monies), and a food review post about this alfedo pasta that I like.

Oh, and apparently my post where I likened Cassie Claire getting published to the Apocalypse has now been linked to the FanHistory wiki.

Does this make me meta?
