In other news, I picked up FFIV from Circuit City (hello $10 giftcard with purchase), even though I was a bit wary about the difficulty of the gameplay. This would be the very first FF game I've actually played, and it had high reviews, so I decided to go for it.

I died in my second battle. I'm sorry Cecil and Kain! I DIDN'T KNOW PETRIFY WOULD TURN YOU TO STONE AND KILL YOU. T__________T!!!

So... now I am using a walkthrough/guide from GameFAQs so I don't horribly fuck up again. OTL I must say that it HELPS IMMENSELY. I did not know that investigating random bushes and things would get you free, hidden items sometimes! Woo hoo!

I also got a chocobo to ride it around even though I didn't need it. ♥ I've managed to get Rydia in my party now, so I'm happy. I just need to level her a bit more before I go to the next cave.

... click them anyway so they grow up fully. x__X I know the gold especially hasn't gotten its frills and they're cranky about growing up.
