Jul. 7th, 2010 04:56 pmHOLY SHIT EARTHQUAKE
EDIT...
It was a big one. Over 5.0 for sure. It kinda scared me because the ground shook for a long minute and it was strong the whole time. And to put things in perspective, the city I live in happens to be on top of a giant slab of granite, so we normally don't feel quakes here unless they're strong, and even then it's somewhat muted.
My anime figures that were standing on top of my headboard (above my head) toppled over. Sorry Cloud. T_T Gaara stayed upright though, which seems appropriate.
EDIT wonders about aftershocks...
Found it. Holy shit it was a 5.9! I knew it was strong.

Rockin' and a-rollin'
Nov. 17th, 2008 10:36 amWow. Two earthquakes this morning, both of which woke me up from sleep. Actually, I slept kind of badly all night. Kept waking up and dreaming strange things, probably because last night I WATCHED SILENT HILL WITH MY MOM.
Anyone who knows me knows I hate scary movies and squeal like a little girl all the way through them. That's why I don't watch them. :/ But we were testing the new BlueRay player we have, and that was the movie we bought, and my mom loves scary movies and I had to appease her.
... it probably also didn't help that after the movie I went to wiki to refresh my memory on what happened in the games. I brought it upon myself.
T_T
Oh, and here are the two earthquakes I felt. The one at 9:40-ish that woke me up and got me out of bed (I didn't get out of bed because of the earthquake, I got up because it was time to get up and the earthquake was like an alarm |D;;). And here is the one that hit around 4am. It kinda scared me because it woke me up, and afterwards all the neighborhood dogs started barking really loud.
Point of interest! The city marked 'Riverside' on the maps is where I live. Or at least close enough. :/ They never put Moreno Valley on maps like this.

Found it. I thought it was a 4.0, but it was a 3.3. I'm off by alot. :/ But it really scared the fuck out of me. It was like a car rammed into the house.

... it felt like a 4.1. *goes to check geological reports*
EDIT...
Found it! No responses yet though, besides mine. And I was off. :P It was a 4.2, so I was off by .1.

What a very busy season
Sep. 12th, 2007 12:17 pmSo, was woken up early this morning by another earthquake. Of course, I filled up the form about it. It was very mild and short and I rolled over and went to sleep right after. Why are there so many earthquakes lately? I've been noticing them alot more, and posting when I can about it.
In other news, my dad is home for some reason, instead of at work. >_>;; Bleh. I'll have some brownies and hide in my room. Hopefully he'll leave me alone. And there's a job fair tomorrow from 9am-3pm, but it's all the way in Palm Springs. I'm going to it since alot of county/city employers will be there. I wouldn't mind a county or city job. ^^ Need to see if I need to print more resumes though. And print out the directions.

I'm melting!
Sep. 2nd, 2007 12:49 pmAuuuuuuuuuugh! Sohot! 101 degrees already when I checked and that was before Noon. *camps out in front of the fans* T___T
Also, was rudely woken up this morning at 10:30am (yes, I checked the time) by an earthquake. Man, it's was a long, strong, shaky one too. @___@ After the first jolt, I thought it was over, but then the ground kept moving for what felt like a minute, but was probably only 30 seconds or less. I actually had the thought: "Holy shit, this one is lasting a long time."
And then it stopped.
And then I rolled over and slept for another half hour.
I've just looked up the earthquake and submitted my comment about it. ^^ Yes, I'm a geek, but I think it's fun.
EDIT...
And now there's a thunderstorm. It's raining pretty hard, but it's kinda bright and sunny, and I hear thunder. WTF weather. WTF. I hope dad still BBQs later. I want to eat some meat.
EDIT BLAME EL NINO...
... this is more rain than we got like... all winter.
