Benazir Bhutto has been assassinated.

I sorta figured it would come down to this, even though she's been under house arrest for... the longest time ever, but this is still shocking.

Nothing good will come of this.

.__. This wasn't the post I wanted to start out my day with.

Indeed. Nothing good ever comes out of assassinations.

Even if it's a bad guy getting assassinated, it's always to make room for someone WORSE to take their place. >.<;; Humans suck.

Well considering how she was greeted when she arrived back in Pakistan, there are people who really want her dead, sadly. It is not looking good for any politician in Pakistan who isn't toeing the official line and the official line is looking dictatorial unfortunately.

Certainly makes the upcoming elections clearer for the other former PM.
