Goodbye LJ...

This is just to make it official for those who don't know, but I'm leaving LJ completely. For the rest of this week at least. Tomorrow is the Bar Exam and it runs for three days, so don't expect to see me about at all until Thursday night. Or even until the weekend since I plan on spending Thursday after the Bar drunk and crying. No online time for me at all. *whines* It will be hard, but I know I can do it.
So, because I'm a total h0r like that, I am declaring this to be a spam post. Go ahead. Run wild! Give me fics, give me links, give me pics, just babble to your heart's content and rape my inbox so I have something to see when I finally DO come back to the wonderful world of LJ. I don't even care if you write me a drabble and post it one word at a time. XD;
Though, I've tried to make a spam post before and it failed a bit miserably, so I don't have very high expectations this time around. Feel free to prove me wrong though!

Re: Spoil of War, book 2
Date: 2006-02-28 01:38 am (UTC)“You shouldn’t have,” Heero gritted out through clenched teeth, bracing himself against the pain as he tried to move. “I wanted to keep you away from this. I wanted to keep you safe.”
“Don’t move,” Duo repeated softly. “I’ll get you out of here. You’ll be all right. --Where’s Quatre? He’s here too, he can help you...” The frantic hurry hurry hurry came back to him, even where his hand pressed against Heero’s side he could feel the blood leaking out of the wound and he couldn’t stop it. He needed help. He needed Quatre. “Where’s -- ?” He sat up straight, craning his neck to look all around for the flash of golden sun, for the blond healer, he couldn’t see him...
“Damn it, where is he?” he cried, his hand squeezing in Heero’s. “Hold on, Heero. Just hold on. I’ll get help, I’ll --”
THERE HE IS!
He thought maybe he’d said it so for a moment he was confused and couldn’t move but when Heero gasped in alarm and struggled to sit up he knew it hadn’t been him. Slowly, slowly he tore his eyes away from Heero and looked, over his shoulder, and he saw the horses and the men pointing --
At him --
“That’s him!” one of them shouted again. They had horses. Their colors. They were Oz. “That’s the one -- That’s Duo Maxwell!”
Maxwell Duo Maxwell Maxwell Maxwell Duo...
He felt something in him scream, something weak and terrified that Oz had made for two years and it was rising in him again; he dropped his eyes huge and round as the sun back to Heero. And Heero looked back at him with his eyes full of pain and fear and regret and worry and a thousand other things but more than anything love, and his hand tightened in Duo’s.
“Run,” he whispered.
I can’t. I can’t.
“You have to. Duo. You can’t save me. Save yourself, Duo, run, hurry!” His blue eyes clenched shut tight and his body shook as he coughed.
“Please, Heero. No. No,” Duo begged him, rooted to the spot. “I don’t want to leave you, I can’t let you die!”
Heero sighed a little sigh and opened his eyes, and smiled and blood ran out the side of his mouth as he did. He had such a beautiful smile. “I love you, Duo. I’ll love you forever. Now let me go. Go.”
