Goodbye LJ...

This is just to make it official for those who don't know, but I'm leaving LJ completely. For the rest of this week at least. Tomorrow is the Bar Exam and it runs for three days, so don't expect to see me about at all until Thursday night. Or even until the weekend since I plan on spending Thursday after the Bar drunk and crying. No online time for me at all. *whines* It will be hard, but I know I can do it.

So, because I'm a total h0r like that, I am declaring this to be a spam post. Go ahead. Run wild! Give me fics, give me links, give me pics, just babble to your heart's content and rape my inbox so I have something to see when I finally DO come back to the wonderful world of LJ. I don't even care if you write me a drabble and post it one word at a time. XD;

Though, I've tried to make a spam post before and it failed a bit miserably, so I don't have very high expectations this time around. Feel free to prove me wrong though!

ep. 5: R. says S&S sometimes disappear for 2-3 days, but this time, it's been a week. Later, he gets a job searching for the lost puppy of a pair of petshop owner twins--it's been a week.
--ponders on not knowing their phone number, home address, last name, or anything--coffeepot is prominent in foreground--reminded of continued emphasis on coffee cups & amount of sugar in coffee as something R knows about S&S? he knows them but doesn't know about them?
--dog comes back on its own, just as S&S did, earlier
--So asks R later--"Next time, when we go missing, will you search for us?" R doesn't answer. We see a map w/ their presumed location on it & a calendar date circled that says "don't forget." yet they were not angry when they came back--did not seem to blame R for not finding them when they disappeared.
--first disappearance 2 yrs ago came about when R wanted to know their comings & goings & Sa got mad & said if they could only come and go when he said, it meant he didn't care about them. how much knowledge/control is acceptable in this kind of relationship? push&pull--care about me, follow me--but not too closely. let me go, but not too far?

ep. 6 opens w someone's cell phone vibrating. no one picks up. name we don't know.

--travel to R's mother's hometown to the spa grand opening. R talks about never habing known his mother & not knowing what kind fo face to make tot he funeral. saw his father cry for the first time--a greater shock than her death. poster: "why did you separate, even though you love each other?" little R asks this of Aino later; he says he doesn't know.
--"Back at my mother's funeral, there was a pair of crying twins, and although I didn't know them, I thought that I should say something."
--"let's be together forever." they proposition; he doesn't answer. Sara hopes that "becoming one" will forestall the separation from R that will come when they turn 16.

ep. 7 twins investigating; come across "Futaba Ainosuke," read name aloud. R: "My dad is dead." R lights cig with dad's lighter; "farewell, dad," throws lighter into water; sinks symbolically into river bottom. "Oh yeah, wasn't that expensive?"
--in flashback to dad's death, winter of 2002.
--R has been suspended from college; drops out. everyone else thinks he should become a detective, but he has no plans to do so, and is totally directionless
--first white dream/vision--little R looking at his father with a faceless crowd; looks away, dad comes over; before he can take R's hand, S&S wake R from his dream--by asking him if he'll do a detective job for them.
--asks them for the first time how much sugar they want in their coffee (paper cups; before the intimicy of the smiley-mug set)
--as he refuses to take the case, putting himself down, he tries to use the lighter & has trouble getting it to light
--Sa says, if he can take the case, he should inheirit the business, if not, then not
--long, long moment of motionless silence. "accepted."
--bathhouse terrorist scene--Sara is always so bold!
--Rentarou searches, reluctantly. Says he was actually itching to do something, flashing back to his father's words, "What are you going to do?" But his heart isn't it. The zippo still won't work.
--He gives up. Croquette lady's admonishment rings in his ears; the radio discusses something that sounds like his exact predicament. He's depressed, and sings an old japanese children's song about rain.
--notices a note left under a paper coffee cup. PIcks it up, reads it, becomes furious--trashes the apartment while asking "what's up with me? who am I?"
--steals the delivery dude's bike. Lighter now lights. whoo! he can smoke again!
--"sou was always like that." always thinking of someone else--money in mailbox
--sara and soujyu look at the time and get bummed. Sou comforts Sa, who gets angry and says they should decide their own future. suddenly, the pouring rain stops. R makes his entrance--right into the lake. they're thrilled. "FOUND YOU!" he shouts.
--he hugs them both to him. Flashforward: hugging the naked twins in his cold, dark apartment. "Things haven't changed," he says, then amends it to: "things have changed a little."

episode 8: "sa is for sayonara," aka "things fall apart."

--R at the river, at dawn. Sees a dead bird; covers it with his handkerchief. Back at the office, S&S lie together, unsleeping.
--Rentarou broods, smokes. Ciggerette is kinda clearly probably a phallic symbol./symbol of manhood (see: ep. 7 & lighter). Making ash what now? Cig is mostly ash, waiting to fall. Phone rings; R does not answer. When ti stops, opportunity lost, the ash falls, leaving just a stump behind.
--r returns from buying a present that he knows won't make it up to S&S to find a man about his age at the door (looking at S&S's sign, smiling familiarly)
--r offers him coffee in a paper cup
--Mitsugi Kimihiko (that's who it is) has little S&S dolls hanging from his rear-view mirror in his swank car
--S&S are in school, depressed. Remembering the night before: R does not know how to respond. Drops to his knees, and they with him. "Why not tommorrow?" he asks/tells.
--flashback to office: K tellign R about his family's relationship to S&S. Says he couldn't be a real guardian to them. Says eh understands why S&S are able to think og R's office as home. He's thankful that R has filled their hearts with warmth. R gets out a cig, but can't find the zippo; with a friendly smile, K gives him a light from his own, then lights his own cig. "I am their fiance," K tells R, distantly. He has to marry one of them on their 16th birthday, or lose his position as head of the family. "That's today."
--K takes R to his family's estate. R is dwarfed & intimidated.

--S&S stand in the rain at the train station, discuss what to do now. Sou wants a change of plans: "May be we can still be together." Sa says they have only today left. Sou replies, "Maybe we can't remain as we were up till now anymore." They recieve a text message from R: found you. "Rentarou da!" He holds up umbrellas for them, but they prefer to share his. They play in the rain all the way home.
--When they get there, R has a surprise prepared: birthday cake and dinner. He lights the candles. They don't know what to think--how did he know? They blow out the candles, but before he can turn the lights on, Sa propositions him again as Sou looks on. He does not respond, and Sa leads Sou out to the showers.
--They talk later, R sitting in the hall, S&S clinging to each other in a room. He describes how they lied to him about their parents--"What was I to you?"
--R says "I can't do it!" Afraid of the outcome--"If I made love to you and we became one, would tomorrow change at all?" Camara shows him through one of the round, porthole windows--isolated, in a bubble. He gets up and looks into the little alcove where S&S were, but sometime after he said "I can't do it!" they vanished. He trembles, then turns and runs.
--S&S are sharing an umbrella, walking through the rain, no longer playful. Sou says "Where can we go now?" Sa tells her Sou's body has gotten cold, and she'll; get her something warm, but she doesn't come back. (Sa tends to Sou a lot; she did the same thing when she led Sou to the shower, earlier--she is very solicitous of Sou, and uses that solicitousness as a way of dodging questions or taking control of a conversation.) R runs through the rain, howling in despair. Sou stands, waiting, wondering after Sa.
--Sa walks alone, and Sou remembers Sa telling her that Sa is strong, and that everythign will be all right. R wonders: if he had known all this from the start, would he have been able to make love to them? Everybody is SAD. Everything is WET. MAJOR BUMMER.

ep. 13 Rentarou says "we are three," just like Sara wanted in ep. 1
--running around during sakura season, just like in ep. 2 UFO sequence
--detective kick!

timeline:
Rentarou is born: his mother divorces his father
Rentarou is a little kid: his mother dies
Rentarou is 16: ika attacks; R & Ainosuke fight him off
Rentarou is 18: relationship with Ai and Mai
Rentarou is 19: Sara & Soujyu are 13-going-on-14 & show up asking for jobs & giving him their first test--find us. Later? disappear again? when R. wants to know their whereabouts.
Rentarou is 21: series start. Ainosuke died 3 wks prior. Sa&So are 15-going-on-16. Ai disappears after M asks R to investigate A.
