The entry I've been meaning to write...

... but kept getting distracted.
Let's see if I can remember everything without resorting to either mining my brain, or bleeding from the ears. My memory tends to go when it's so hot. XP
Much like with the Bar Exam: yes, I took the MPRE. That's really all I want to say about it, lest I jinx myself. And once again, I will note that this is not a test that I want to be taking again. The test itself wasn't so bad; it's just 2 hours, 60 questions and everything is on Professional Responsibility. Most people finished early.
What I DID hate was the schematics behind the testing site. *growls* It SUCKED ASS. First, we all had to wait in a room, and the testing form said to be there at 12:30pm. I got there early (after PAYING for the parking grrr), and then everyone else trikled in, but it wasn't until WELL AFTER the start time (nearly 1pm) that the proctors came in. First, he told us all to get into the room which was pretty much packed to capacity. Then he started separating us by our last names. >_O;; Why couldn't they have told us to go to different rooms in the FIRST place?! It's not like they don't have the names and numbers of EVERYONE taking the test! Anyway, I was in the third group, which was pretty much L-names until Z. He made us go OUTSIDE and LINE UP in alphabetical order.
What is this, pre-school?
Then the proctors LEFT US OUTSIDE for like, ten minutes before calling us in again. I got in with the first half and had to go upstairs. The second half went BACK into the original room. Anyway, once I got up the stairs, I had to wait with four other guys because the room ran out of red sheets (forms for out information and taking the test). SO, instead of bring up a couple forms for us, we had to GO BACK DOWNSTAIRS to the end of the OTHER line. *growls viciously*
Finally, I ended up back in the room I originally was. I was assigned my seat, and OMG can I say it SUCKED? The seats were like in a lecture hall type thing and the desks were those little side table things that you pulled up. We had to take our MPREs on THESE flimsy things?! They were so tiny and cramped. Needless to say, taking the test was torture, even if the questions themselves weren't so bad.
But, because of the delays, I didn't start the test until after 1:30pm. That, plus the two hours of exam-taking ensured that I would come out of the test RIGHT in the middle of LA's Friday afternoon traffic. I could only be happy that there wasn't a game at Staples Center and that it wasn't a holiday weekend. I took me THREE FUCKING HOURS to get home. Yes, traffic was THAT bad. I'm just glad I took the 10 to the 60, instead of the 10 straight through LA. Sometimes the 10 is faster, but this time, I decided against it. And I was frantically listening to the traffic reports on the radio. >_O;;
I so hate driving through LA. Plus, I was STARVING. Breakfast was banana bread and Snapple, and I had a Coke and chips before the test out of a vending machine. Fucking delays. I stopped on the way home and bought KFC to take home. XD! I think that was the only good part of the day.
Well, now, after all that depressing and vaguely-angry bitchery, let's have all the GOOD stuff that I did last Sunday.
Saturday was brain-death day. ^^;; I just sorta laid around and eventually my brain stopped gibbering at me about the proper procedures and what a lawyer could be sanctioned for. On Sunday, I really wanted to get out of the house (and not have to go to Mass), and so I dragged
aoi with me to visit
mikkeneko at her (sorta) new apartment, since I hadn't seen it yet. I made Aoi-chan drive, too, since Friday's romp through LA had traumatized me.
The drive was a good one, with practically no traffic except at the 60/91 interchange. It was fun to gossip and talk with Aoi-chan, and we shared some bitchery. And... FOULNESS. *totally giggles like a 12-year old*
Anyway, finding Mikke's place wasn't hard. ^^ We got to her apartment and hung out for a little bit (repeated the foulness story too *giggles*) before deciding to go to Montclair Plaza to surprise
sukino at work. X3 Parking was interesting, though we did end up going in RIGHT where we could see the Disney store when we got into the Mall! Except the Pet wasn't at work! BAD PET! WE CAME ALL THIS WAY FOR YOU. BAD.
So, we went wandering around everywhere. We went into every store that caught our eyes (like Bath & Body Works and The Body Shop and the Day Spa to look at prices and Cartoon Field, etc.). We also exploited Sharper Image and stayed there for a good long time, getting massages from the massage chairs they always have out. X3;; I love Sharper Image just because of the massage chairs. Mikke got sucked in my a flatscreen TV playing Mosters Inc., and I poked around to the left and what did I see?
iDOGS. Sharper Image was SELLING iDOGS. My brain exploded in my head, and I stood in front of the shelf with Aoi-chan just playing with the iDog they had on display. It's SO CUTE! I HAD TO BUY ONE. Except, I think I might keep mine away from Aoi-chan, who likes abusing the iDogs by pulling on their tails just to hear them growl. ;__; Poor iDog. I'll protect you from Aoi-chan's tail-pulling as long as you keep dancing and being cute for me.
Most notably, we went into the anime store, where they had this HUGE glass case with figurines and stuff in it. I bought myself a cool Gaara figure; it's from when we first see him in the series, upside down and hanging from a tree branch. It is AWESOME. I wanted to get this cool figure of the scene where Itachi pwns Sasuke, because it was so very gay, but it was also $12. There was ANOTHER cool (and gay) Naruto/Gaara figure, but they didn't have an extra one in the display case and it was expensive, too. ;___;
But Mikke is the MOST ENABLING BITCH ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET.
I was innocently paying for my Gaara figure when she comes up behind me and waves something in front of my face. What is it?
IT'S A FUCKING WALLSCROLL OF YONDAIME.
I literally WHIMPERED, right there, at the counter while I was waiting for my change. I told Mikke I couldn't buyit him because I didn't have wallspace and it was a bit expensive and THEN THE BITCH OFFERED TO PAY FOR HALF OF YONDAIME AS A "PRESENT." I'm warning everyone RIGHT NOW to never go shopping with Mikke EVER. She exploits all your weaknesses! It was like she kicked me once I was down, and stomped on me again for good measure.
... but now I have Yondaime. :3
Then it was time for ice cream from Hagen Daz (and cookies from Mrs. Field's because they were having a buy 3 get one free sale)... once I pulled out cash from an ATM. *blames Mikke totally* We even tried calling Pet with our cellphones, but the calls didn't go through. ;__; We were sad. We stopped by The Disney Store one more time on the way out, but PET WAS STILL BAD AND NOT AT WORK AND NOT ANSWERING HER PHONE. We wanted to invite her over to Mikke's to have Thai food with us. T__T BAD NAUGHTY PET.
Dropped off at the Borders Bookstore, since it was there and I wanted to see if they had certain books I was looking for. I DID manage to find them. ^^ They're books on getting International Jobs, because yes, teh Sera needs to get a job liek whoa.
We did pick up the Thai food (the place has an awesome fish tank) and headed back to Mikke's place to eat. Aoi-chan also happened to have DDR and an extra pad in the trunk of her car, so after our dinner conversation (mostly about Harry Potter and HBP), we decided to play DDR. Actually, I was a little wary because I don't play DDR -- like at all -- and I KNOW I suck from the few times that I've played. Still, they blackmailed me into it, and I have to admit that it's fun, even though I'm in the Beginner mode. XD It was also fun because of all the stomping and jumping, which shook the walls. I felt sorry for Mikke's neighbors downstairs. Bwahaha.
Finally left Mikke's place at about 10pm. It was a long, fun day. And I was happy.
... and now I think I need to write a post with a review about iDogs. XDDD!
