Mmmmrrrr... went out shopping today. >_O Now I remember why I don't go shopping unless absolutely necessary. I had to buy new dress shoes for my suits, since I'm going to the BAPALSA Conference tomorrow. It's an all-day thing, and I'm going to be out very early. Norm told me it was business-casual, but whatever. I'll just jut on a nice suit, especially since this is a good networking opportunity, and we might go drinking afterwards.

^_~*

So, I hauled down to Serramonte Plaza for all my shopping needs. The first thing I bought was a new rice cooker. *pets it* Yay! Now I'll be able to have rice!

Anyway, I decided to have a bit of leisure time as well, so I popped into a B. Dalton just to see what was about. Nothing interesting, but I did stand for a very long time in front of the LOTR display and pawed through the picture books. For some reason, I was tickled to find out that Merry's Rohan armor belonged to Theoden when he was a boy, the sword, too. And, of course, Pippin was wearing one of the Gondor uniforms Faramir had as a boy.

Oh! And [livejournal.com profile] aoi? I was right. Aragorn DOES wear Boromir's vambraces through TTT and RotK. Even at the end, in his Kingly Battle Mordor Outfit, the vambraces are Boromir's, which is why they're not all black and silver. Heheheh... I think I want to buy that LOTR Weapons and Warfare book, if only for the detailed costume descriptions.

I am much amused that under all his chainmail and armor, Boromir is wearing silk and velvet. The descriptions of Boromir as a "big and broad" man also tickled me. XD XD XD

*pets uke!Boromir*

After the squealiness, I headed over to Macy's, which was having a bit of a sale. X3 But all the shoes I liked that were on sale weren't in my size. ;_; Damn my size 6 1/2s... damn them! But, I did find this nice pair of pumps that wasn't on sale, but DID fit me, in size 6.

Why can't shoe manufacturers make the same size?!

Anyway, one of the brands of shoes I liked was Naturalizer, and there happened to be a Naturalizer store outside of the Macy's. They were putting in new stock and were having a 25-50% off sale, so the two male clerks there were swamped. But one was Amazingly Gay, thus proving that the Pr0n Godz smile down upon me. I asked him for a 6 1/2 (of the same shoe Macy's didn't have), and what he brought out for me was FOUR DIFFERENT STYLES of shoes (that he said I would like because he noticed me shopping around the store), and A PURSE TO MATCH.

*flaaaaaaaaaaaame!*

I was sad they didn't have the shoe I wanted in stock, but I bought this other cute pair that was, thankfully, 50% off. All in all, I think a spent a bit over $100 on two pairs of shoes.

*wince*

After that was "me" shopping (which usually means wandering around and touching things without actually buying anything), so I immediately went to the Mrs. Field's and bought Milk Chocolate Chip cookies to snack on. I hit a number of stores (including Suncoast, of course), and actually remembered to buy a blowdryer. My hair looks nicer blowdried, because it gets fluffy and my streaks show up more.

Then I bought a nice dinner from Panda Express. *munches on it* I very good day shopping, though I suppose I should be on the lookout for more business-type wear.

-----------------------

On a semi-connected note... is it me, or does food and sex come up in my LJ alot? What does this say about me?

*ponders*

*goes to finish dinner*

EDIT...

ARGH! THE BUNNIES!!! HOW COULD I FORGET THE BUNNIES?!

*coughs* Hurm... well, Serramonte also has a pet store. And right when I went in, there's this pen-thing with BUNNIES! Little fluffy baby bunnies that you can pet, but the sign says NOT to pick them up.

*____________*

I just HAD to pet this teeny little grey babby bunny that had managed to climb up on the food dispenser thingy. So he was chowing down while the other bunnies had to fight for places at the regular food tray.

HE WAS SO CUTE! *seizures* I SO wanted to buy him and take him home with me! He was so small and cute and fluffy and grey and OMGWTFAAAAAAAAARGHHHH!!!111one!1

I had to leave before the overwhelming cuteness of the bunnies destroyed my soul.

;__;

... and guinea pigs are bigger than hamsters, just to everyone knows.

Was your guy friend Amazingly Gay as well? And I would suggest a blowdryer if you want your hair fluffier. And going to bed with a wet head sucks.

Considering that with one exception, he managed to date every single one of my female friends in high school, I think he was Amazingly Bi.

Tell me about it! I think as long as I'm going to make a habit of showering late at night, I'd better get one.
