Yesterday ended up being a good day.

Even through I was dragged out of bed at 7:30am for church (when I'd only gotten to bed at the new 2am which felt like 3am) -- wherein the priest gave us a politics homily and read off how the Bishops wanted us to vote about three of the Propositions (I only agreed with one of them) -- I was able to take a bit of a nap after we got back home. And watch MythBusters. Whoo.

Then I went out with [livejournal.com profile] aoi and Pet and we met up at Ontario Mills as usual. Mostly dinner and window-shopping, though there was much browsing of clothes and shoes and video games. It was fun. ♥ And I bought myself a box of Krispy Kremes. After that, Aoi and I swung by [livejournal.com profile] chibi_faolan's mom's house, since we found out K-chan was actually in Mo Val for a day BUT DIDN'T TELL US. She could've had dinner and hijinks as well. But we hung out and I was able to pet the cats, who did not attack me for once.

There was some politics discussion, which was inevitable considering the current climate. However, it reminded me to pimp this out, from [livejournal.com profile] doortoriver. It's a very well-thought out and well-referenced post/essay from a conservative Christian who is voting for Obama. There's discussion of various points that have been hotly debated/smeared around during the campaign, and includes analysis of McCain and Palin as well. With sources.

Also, I hope [livejournal.com profile] ontd_political keeps going, because I enjoy Shennanigans Friday for the macros.

Now I am going to omnom some Krispy Kremes and throw a load of laundry into the wash.

And it's freezing cold and this makes me an unhappy bunny.

Isn't there some restriction on preachers preaching politics...? But yay Mythbusters. Adam and Jamie are love. :3

You did not tell me you had Krispy Kremes. *glares* I shall now surf your links, though... oh, and Bitty says nyao (hi). =^.^=

Not really. He was just reading off what the Council of Bishops wrote about the three Propositions. Though, I was pleased that unlike Prop 4 and 6, at the end of the part about Prop 8, there wasn't a "So vote No on Prop 8." Just a please pray and consider your decision, but no matter what the Church only believes in one man/one woman for a marriage.

I have no problem with religions advocating one way or the other for their own religious beliefs, but civilly it's a different matter.

And I saved the Krispy Kremes for myself. >_>;; You can get one tomorrow for free though if you vote.

[livejournal.com profile] ontd_political can be hilarious. But I imagine that it will slow down a bit in the coming days. But there always political shenanigans are always going on, so maybe not?

I want some Krispy Kremes as well :/

*hugs you warm*

That's what I'm hoping for too. I mean, they cover politics all around the world, too.

And you can get a free Krispy Kreme if you vote tomorrow! You just need to show your 'I VOTED!' sticker.

I'm not an American, so no free Krispy Kremes for me. Woe! (and voting is compulsory in my country so there are no incentives like that here D:)

HOW DARE YOU BE DEPRIVED OF FREE KRISPY KREMES. They're special star-shapes and they'll have sprinkles!

>_>;; Actually I'm not getting one. I voted early, and the nearest Krispy Kreme is 40 minutes away. That's why I bought a box of them to take home when I went out on Sunday.
