Wow.

Wow.

-- WHY DON'T THEY SEND CHRISTIAN HOME?! *throttles things and Sad Emo Boys in Snow*
-- Tonight was a TOTAL cliffhanger to me. Once Ricky had his little monologue, I was like: "Shit, he's gonna go. You only get to monologue like that on the episode you leave." I was totally surprised he wasn't booted off.
-- Rami's draping makes me want to cry, it's so gorgeous. T_T ♥ But I agree that the dress was not for a teenage girl.
-- FUCK YOU, TOO, VICTORYA. YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE WON. God, I hated her dress. The color and the jewels and, ugh. Sweet Pea was totally robbed.
-- I love Chris. ♥ He really does make some beautiful stuff when he isn't being all drag queen-y. I think I liked his dress the most.
-- ... I sorta like how being at the bottom has really made Sweet Pea work harder to finish her dresses. She can feel her neck on the chopping block and it's a good motivation.
-- ;__; Once again, Kit is relegated to the background. I hope she really starts to shine once more designers are weeded out. Mediocre won't cut it here.

You and I will have to agree to disagree on Kit. ^_^ I was watching the episode where she did the man's outfit, and I think she was robbed in that one.

I'm just looking at the gallery online, since I haven't seen the episode. Rami's dress is gorgeous. Once again, I think he's the best of the bunch. Jillian continues to impress me, too. If one of them ends up winning, I'll be happy.

I've had my fill of Ricky. Watching repeats really hit home to me that he's not that good. People at PR's site are up in arms that he's still there. They think he's being kept because it makes good drama.

Well, I agree she was robbed on the menswear challenge. But Kit, while she does good work, isn't really shining. Most of the time she's neither bad nor good, but coasting down the middle. That's a good place to be at the beginning of the season, but now we're almost halfway through? People should really be showing off and defining their styles by now.

I agree that Rami's dress was gorgeous and I'd defintely wear it. But it is not a prom dress for a teenage girl, which was the judges' main quibble about it.

And yes, Ricky is much drama. Unless he kicks everyone's ass next episode, I'm pretty sure he'll be kicked. :/

I don't get how Victorya's dress was a prom dress. If had to guess that the theme was 'prom' I would never have gotten it from her dress. It looked like something a person would wear any day. Sweet P totally deserved the win. Or Chris.

The big problem I have with the show is that they don't seem to take into account the performances from previous challenges.

Btw, speculation at the PR website's board is that the reason Sweet P didn't win is because the judges didn't want to give her immunity for the next round. Someone also felt that they picked Rami as one of the worst because he had immunity, and they could use this episode to teach him a little humility.

I read somewhere (maybe at Project Rungay) that the judges seems to base their judgements on what they think people should wear, and not necessarily the reality of what people actually wear. At 17/18 I, personally, would have worn Rami's dress, but I've always preferred a style like that. But Victorya's dress, to the judges, is what a teenage girl going to prom should wear (it was young and bright and tackily shiny).

And yeah, I don't like that they don't take into account previous performance. Though, I suppose it makes sense. They DO get to see everyone's personal style/direction as the show goes on. They're very quick to tell a designer: "This dress was okay, but it's not your style."

I think the next episodes are going to get more brutal. >_>;;

just going from Tim's Take on the BravoTV website... i like Sweet P's the best for prom. i usually like victorya's designs well enough, and i secretly love victorya herself (being that i think she's a hilarious paragon of asian girl passive agressiveness on mainstream american tv... (give her another decade or so and she'll be just like my mother. hah!), but that thing was hideous. and tim gunn thought so too! but my favourite tim gunn quote from this episode's blog was:

"It’s essential that the designers look around the workroom and assess how their design measures up to everyone else’s (but without harboring the delusions of Christian)."

hilarious.

i went there right away last night and even left a comment! i totally agreed with tim about victorya's dress - just ugh. her dresses look rather the same. i guess they're not bad (as a whole), but not what i'd ever wear.

Wow, you actually know him? How wonderful that he's actually a jerk IRL, and not just because the show's editing makes him the bitchy one.

Well, 'sassy' is the word I would have used--and he was real nice at the reunion, which is when I found out he was on TV. (he had fangirls there, aaaah it was kind of hilarious) I really ought to actually watch these episodes some time to see how bad he is there. XDb
