It's true what they say, that your life flashes before your eyes before a traumatic event. Or, at the very least, time goes all wonky in respect to you. It's such a weird feeling.

So, after Thanksgiving my parents and I went out on Black Friday to do some shopping. We're looking at getting a huge plasma TV (or LCD) and home theatre system since our TV is old (and not big). We ended up waiting to get the right TV at Xmas, but we did pick up a sweet Sony home theatre system for a bargain, and the wires and stuff we needed. Perhaps I shall also get a PS2 for Xmas, since my parents know I want one. And Guitar Hero 3. ♥

After paying, I followed my parents out to the car. I was lagging behind because I was searching in my purse for the Snickers bar I had put in there (hadn't had breakfast). An SUV started going through the parking lot, so I was waiting on the sidewalk in front of the store for it to pass first. And then the whole time wonkiness thing happened. Everything felt like it was going slow motion, but it was only a few seconds, but it seemed like a damn long time to me.

As the SUV came in front of me, I looked up.

I noticed that there was a bottle of water on the asphalt.

And then my brains sorta was working fast, but slow, and in the space of a couple seconds, this was my thought process:

There is a bottle of water --> that SUV is sorta fast --> that bottle of water is mostly full --> the SUV will run over it --> *SUV runs over water bottle* --> *bottle EXPLODES from being crunched* --> oshit all that water is heading towards me --> *water flying through the air in my direction* --> protect yourself stupid you're gonna get wet --> *I throw my arms up in front of my face and hunch over to protect my head (and glasses); I also shriek* --> *the water all hits me, to the point where the sidewalk all around me is wet, except for the dry outline of my legs, where they took most of the impact* --> *I stop shrieking and the SUV continues on and people coming out of the store are all looking at me and the outline of my body on the sidewalk*

So. Yeah.

I ended up practically drenched from the ribs to the bottom of my jeans. And it was cold. It was a very surreal moment. Then the people around asked me if I was okay and I said all the water hit me, and there was much pointing at the outline I left on the sidewalk.

I just walked to the car and my parents and got in. :/

Aside from that, not much interesting has been happening for me lately. I've been trying to get to Aoi's to play Trickster as much as I can to finish the Turkey Day Event. I've done 17 runs of the monster quest out of 25. It's pretty easy except that the spawn rate of the monsters is so slow. But I'm still hoping to get the ChocoAlmond equips (or at least the shield).

Also have a job interview tomorrow morning. \o/ I hope I do well. T__T

*clings to and burrows in the blanket with you*

... it almost felt like I got run over. It was so weird how everything went so slow... or maybe my brain was moving fast.

You scared me! Not that getting drenched is a good thing, but I was thinking it was gonna be something worse. Now for the burning question: Did you get to eat your Snickers bar?

Nothing like a bit of drama, right? And yes, my Snickers bar was safe and I ate it in the car. If it had gotten wet I would've had to throw it away, since who knows who drank that bottle of water.

I too thought you were about to get squished! O.O Sorry you almost got drowned, but glad you were not squished.

I don't think being squished would be fun at all. But yeah, I'm so glad that SUV hit the water bottle and not me.

At least it was just water, and not soda? *blowdries you off*

....that reminds me of when I was in 7th grade and purposely stepped on a ketchup packet on the cafeteria floor in a way that it would streak right up the white-jeans clad leg of a girl who had been mean to me. >.>

*enjoys the blowdrying!*

Yeah, I'm very glad it wasn't anything worse than water or it would've sucked. And you're a horrible person. ♥

good luck on the interview.

and so glad you didn't get hit/injured by that inconsiderate SUV who deliberately ran over a bottle of water just to squirt it all over you.
