So, despite all my work to avoid it, I've started watching Death Note. At least, I've been watching it on Adult Swim when it comes on.

I... I kinda like L's dub voice. And Light's, too.

I'm scared. Death Note is so dear to my heart, even before they made an anime of it at all. I was actually a little nervous about the anime, because I was afraid they wouldn't do the manga justice. Then when it was licensed.. ugh... I dreaded what would be done to it. Your comments make me feel a little better about maybe giving it a peek.

Well, I only know the barest amount about DN, mostly from hearing freinds talk and CFUD. And wiki. But I've never read the manga, so my first experience is the dubbed anime. It seems pretty good so far to me, but I've only seen the first 2 episodes.

Brad Swaile, who did Quatre, is Light's voice. L's voice is an actor on the new Battlestar Galactica and Ryuk's voice is Brian Drummond, who was Zechs.

I THOUGHT LIGHT SOUNDED FAMILIAR.

There's a little more maturity in his voice since Swaile is older now but you can still hear some Quatre in Light. ^____^

*nods* It was a little ping of 'I've heard him somewhere before'.

I haven't seen the dubbed version, but Death Note anime is very interesting. A new medium brought different dimensions. :)

Well, I was trying to catch Bleach, but it was Death Note instead, so I decided to see if it was any good.

I'm actually not all that upset about the dubbed voices. When I heard L's I was surprised. It actually sounded pretty good.

I knew I'd heard Ryuk and Light's voices before. ^^ I'm slightly put off with Brad though, because I feel his manatical laughter doesn't have enough hysteria in it. But I am hoping that as Light's character becomes slightly more psychotic through out the series, that it will eventually get to the level that I think it needs to be. Other than that, I'm not disappointed at all.
