... I DECLARE A DRABBLEWAR.

The rules are simple:

This post is open for a DRABBLEWAR against any all comers! No holds barred... any fandom, any characters, any situations, any ratings, IF YOU CAN DRABBLE IT YOU CAN DO IT. I, myself, am somewhat limited in the fandoms I can successfully drabble (f-fail), but don't let that stop YOU. I'll do my best to answer everyone!

AND TO MAKE IT MORE FUN: If you see a particularly enticing drabble by someone else, feel free to reply back with a drabble of your own. THAT'S RIGHT. This is like a free-for-all cage match! Tagteam with someone, lonewolf it, whatever! The whole point of this is to have fun. Pr0n is, of course, highly encouraged but not necessary. Drabbles can be any length you so desire.

DRABBLE UNTIL SOMEONE GIVES UP OR CAN'T DRABBLE ANYMORE.

Oh, and in your first comment/drabble, feel free to list things/pairings/fandoms you prefer, or situations that you don't. This is for fun and not to traumatize (unless you like that sort of thing).

GO GO GO!

P.S. [livejournal.com profile] moffit, I am looking to declare my superiority over you once again. R-REMATCH!

EDIT...

Going to bed now, but this post is staying up all weekend. Drabble at your leisure and I'll be back when I get online again. ^^

Riku could feel a vague headache building up in that space between his eyes, fumbling a little to keep his grip on Sora, who seemed to want to keep reaching up at nothing.

"It's all in your stomach. Or probably over the rail once you get sick enough to hurl."

This was nothing like being on Captain Hook's ship, but Riku was glad that he was here to make sure that Sora was safe. Even if it meant having to deal with smelly, drunken pirates. Ugh, ninjas were so much better.

And then Sora made an odd little half choking, half hiccupping noise, and Riku's eyes widened. He moved as fast as he could to drape Sora over the rail, and wondered about revising his opinion about being glad.

Sora suddenly found himself staring down at the lapping water, and dry heaving a little bit before pulling, stumbling back onto his feet. He smiled as the wave of nausea passed, and started to waltz with himself, except skipping at the same time, around the deck, clearly having a wonderful time wherever he was in Sora-land.

"D'ya think we got s'more downstairs? Hey, I'll go check!"

And he flew through the cabin, singing at the top of his lungs until he reached the hold, having to focus quite hard to find a new bottle amongst the empty ones.

He was going to follow Sora; really, he was. Afterall, if he didn't watch over Sora to make sure he didn't die of alcohol poisioning, then who would? Those smelly pirates who looked like they'd rather rob Sora than help him? Riku was still keeping an eye on that Jack -- Captain Jack Sparrow -- after seeing the way his eyes had gleamed when looking at Sora's crown necklace, and his multitude of keychains.

But just as he turned, a quick flash of light over the ocean caught his eye. A shooting star. Riku marveled at the way that bright light looked, streaking through the night sky and reflected on the calm ocean waters. It was pretty, if depressing. The last time he'd seen a shooting star, he'd destroyed his own world.

Riku braced himself against the rail, vaguely able to hear Sora singing loudly below decks.

He never wanted to see shooting stars ever again.

Soon enough, Sora was bounding up the stairs, a fresh bottle in his hands as he nudged Riku over, handing him the bottle and watching the shooting star shrinking towards the distance.

"... I hope 's not too late t' make a wish," he cried, quickly closing his eyes and concentrating, before his face took on a peaceful expression. When he cracked them, the shooting star was gone, and he leaned forwards on the rail to support himself, staring intently at the skies.

"Riku, did you make a wish?"

The small crew around him had all gone down for supper, and only one man was in the crow's nest, nearly asleep. The atmosphere on deck was quiet, the ocean calm, the warm feeling of being caught somewhere in the vastness between the edge of the world and the edge of the land.

"I don't deserve to make wishes," Riku said quietly, his voice barely audible over the sound of waves slapping against the hull of the ship.

His hands tightened on the bottle in his hands -- well, at least if he had it, he could keep it away from Sora -- and soon enough the tail of the star faded away over the horizon. But there were other stars in the sky, other worlds that shone bright; other places that he'd helped destroy when he'd opened the Heart of his own world. How could you really be forgiven of something like that? No wonder he wasn't on Santa's Nice List.

He closed his eyes, and for a moment, felt the dark cloth bound over them again.

"Everyone... everyone deserves to make wishes. Without wishes, we wouldn't even be here, yanno."

Sora knew this temperature shift oh so well, he knew the quiet that came over Riku, the forceful chill of memory that haunted him. His heart bubbled a bit in his chest, and he opened his mouth, trying to come up with words to say, something, anything that would take Riku's pain away. Popping the cork on the bottle, he offered Riku a drink.

"I once heard, 'A dream is a wish your heart makes'. Surely you have dreams, Riku. You deserve to have dreams, wishes. You came back, you know? Neither of us did things perfectly, but all you can do is push forward," he said, in a blinding moment of lucidity, what with all the alcohol in his system.

"Come on. Drink and be merry with me. It's a beautiful night. Let's start right here.

His eyes were filled were the sight of stars spilled over the black night sky, but when he turned to look down, there was Sora's honest face glowing in the lamplight. Sora's eyes were wide... huge and filled with so many things that Riku marvelled at the way his best friend could have his emotions out on display so freely, while Riku took pains to make sure people couldn't read his own eyes.

His hand was steady as he took the bottle from Sora, the scent of the rum already tickling his nose. His fingers brushed against Sora's warm ones, glad all of a suddenly that Sora was here with him instead of the other way around.

"Yo ho ho, and all that, right?" Riku murmured, then leaned down further, his silvery hair slipping past his shoulders to sway with the rocking of the ship.

And he took his first taste of rum from Sora's lips.
