One of the manga I bought yesterday was I Can't Stop Loving You by Row Takakura. Same person who did Skyscrapers of Oz (love it!), because I recognized the artwork. BUT! That wasn't my first thought when I saw this on the shelf. I literally stared at the cover for five minutes going: "Now where have I seen this before...?"

Then it hit me, and I almost squealed out loud.

I OWN THAT DOUJINSHI.

Or, at least, doujinshi by the same person or has an uncannily similar art style. THIS IS THE PERSON WHO DID THE PHALLUS DOUJINSHI. THE ONE WITH THE SUPER SEXY SEME DUO. I was staring at the cover of the manga going: "AAAAH! I have this doujinshi! This is Duo and Heero! Because Heero has the same bangs and pouty lips in the doujinshi! And AAAH! On the inside, the seme guy braids his hair back and HE IS DUO YOU CANNOT CONVINCE ME HE IS NOT THE SAME DUO."

Someone? Anyone? iniq, I know you scanned some Phallus images once? The pic of SUPAH SEME DUO covered in the other GBoyz like bits of pretty uke jewelry?

I'm not crazy! I know I'm not! This is the same artist, it has to be because I REMEMBER THAT UKE HEERO ASS AND LONG SEME DUO HAIR.

Also, while I was reading this manga (it's very great and funny and sexy btw), I kept mentally replacing the lead characters' names with "Duo" and "Heero". I know I'm lame. ._____.;;

yeah, i did the same thing when i picked that manga up too. it's a three part manga as well, isn't it? i think i've got only the first volume.. i could be wrong and confusing the title with another, but i thought the (heero) look-a-like was shredding the (duo) look-a-like every time they attempted sex. (the whole premise of the story).

And yes, 'Heero' is freakishly strong (bwhehe) and every time they try to have sex he ends up hurting 'Duo'. It's HILARIOUS.

...I think I know which doujinshi you're talking about. I don't have it, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it. Duo's about fifteen kinds of super-studly, yeah? Like, all muscular and at least six inches taller than everyone else? Or he would be, if he was ever actually standing upright. Because I remember seeing the doujinshi cover for the first time and having to be told that it was Duo and not Zechs. ^^;;;

So, yeah, the art style on that image is very similar to what I remember. Or? I could be completely wrong. :D

Yes! It's that super studly manly I ARE TEH SEME Duo doujinshi. ^___^ Where he has that weird blondish hair. This manga is AWESOME when you replace the seme and uke's names with "Duo" and "Heero".

I bought that manga a few weeks ago at Waldenbooks. They have the best manga collection but they're across town and I don't get over there (with spending money) that often. And oh, man, in this manga the hotness starts on the very first page! *squees*

I knew you'd remember! The artist has a few publushed English manga out. There's this one (it either has two or three volumes), Skyscrapers of Oz, and But I'm Your Teacher (I think) which I don't have but have to buy now because I like her art. Plus, teacher/student smexxing = yum. ♥
