Kinda weird, I woke up feeling pretty much okay, except for the fact that I'm still a bit congested and coughing. Fucking runny nose. =__=;; I'm really really hoping this clears up fast, because I don't want to go to the doctor, only to have him tell me I've got a cold and to prescribe me Robitussin. >_>;; Sorry, but if I'm going to the doctor, I want the hardcore prescription meds out of it, okay? Got to get my money's worth and all.

I'm feeling kinda blah though... maybe because it's Tuesday WEDNESDAY, and everyone should know that I categorically hate Tuesdays. AND WEDNESDAYS TOO DAMMIT. Someone poke me later (gently!) and urge me to write. Write something not shouta. Have no idea why I'm feeling so shouta-y at the moment, but there you go. Last week I was feeling sibcesty. I wonder what the kink will be next week. Hmmm.

Doctors will give you the weakest possible medication, generally. At the end of the visit, when they say, "Well, I'm going to give you [blank]," that's your cue to shake your head and say it doesn't work for you. :3

Well, I already do that. The only thing I can't really take is Amoxicillin because I had a bad reaction once. It's just me being susceptible to drugs in my system that throws me.

Um... amoxicillin's an antibiotic, not a decongestant/cough suppresant thing... and even then, I don't think it's prescribed as much anymore...

And amoxicillin made me go to emergency care when I was about five.

Well, I was just making an example. I know it's an antibiotic. XPP And it made me horribly sick when I was 12 because it was mis-prescribed so I had to go BACK to the hospital to fix it.

Hey, at least you remember it. Or maybe I should be grateful for selective amnesia... mom said I "swelled up like a tick" in just a few minutes. I just remember going into the kitchen and saying I felt funny. o_O

Apparently it's a fairly common allergy, though. *shrug*

I don't even know if I'm allergic to it, or if it was just because they gave me that instead of the medicine I was SUPPOSED to have. But I stay away from it anyway.

Naw, it's not going to cause a reaction just because you haven't got strep -- all it does it kill bacteria. Hey, if you do go to the doctor, that's something you can ask him about.

Did you know that penicillin isn't as effective as it once was? The bacteria evolve and develop a tolerance to it... amoxicillin, too. You know how my sister gets strep a lot? The last time they gave her amoxicillin, she had to go back a few days later because she wasn't getting better at all.
