I am totally, completely, and utterly in denial over the end of Yu-Gi-Oh. There. I said it. And I'm proud of it. I live in a happy AU fanfic world where Yami and Yuugi get to have lots and lots of sex, soulroom or otherwise. And sometimes there's even threesomes between Atemu, Yami, and Yuugi, because that's hot. And Yami and Yuugi will always be together and digustingly happy and have secret pet names for each other and everything. Yami thinks Yuugi looks adorable in his pyjamas, and Yuugi likes that Yami doesn't wear anything under the leather.

Anyone trying to convince me otherwise will be Mind Crushed and then sent to the Shadow Realm.

Ah! Ok... GX started, but they hadn't ended the 'real' Yu-Gi-Oh yet, the last I heard. I thought it was coming, but that there were still several episodes to go.

*nods* They're in the Ancient Egypt Arc in the dub series right now. They stopped episodes for awhile, but should be picking up again soon. You can try to catch it if you like.

Well, you DO know that Yami really dead and just a spirit, right? The Ceremonial Duel at the end of the series between Yuugi and Yami is a duel to determine whether Yami stays on Earth as he is (a spirit inhabiting Yuugi's body), or if he can finally go into the afterlife.

Though, there are random cameos by Seto Kaiba, Mokuba, and Grandpa Mouto and Pegasus during the series, mostly the second season. But that makes me angry too, because it's been TEN YEARS since the end of YGO in the GX timeline, BUT KAIBA IS STILL WEARING HIS BATTLE CITY OUTFIT. *shakes animators* Stop being lazy! Put Kaiba in a damn business suit and let him look at least a little older!

Daughter mentioned being irritated that they kept throwing in random minor characters in an effort to 'tie-in' to the original.
Personally, I've never been able to stand that weird mix of character designs... where most of the people look normal, but then there's suddenly some guy who looks like he wandered in off the set of the Flinstones or something? O.o

I have probably seen three total minutes of GX, and they weren't consecutive. *cough* But yeah... there was one character that didn't even look like he belonged in the same anime with the rest of them.
And I LOVE how random characters bear a striking resemblence to characters from the first series. Only... not. O.o

Well, I still secretly believe Sho/Syrus is Yuugi and Ryou's lovechild. He's cute. ♥ I think I like him and his brother the best. =__=;; Don't like the main character as much as I love Yuugi. *kicks GX again*

Well, both the manga and the anime ended quite a few years ago in Japan. ^^;; Though now the manga is doing Yu-Gi-Oh!R, which is set in the time between Battle City and the Ancient Egypt Arc.

I know the anime is still running in the US, but I don't watch the dub (or heavily avoid it). I sometimes watch YGO!GX for the pure crack factor, but even that's been going in Japan since 2004 and is in the second season now.

I just out-ed myself as a huge and tremendous fangirl. ^^;;

Yu-Gi-Oh!R? That doesn't sound familiar... not that I pay a lot of attention to the titles of all the stuff the child cons me into buying for her follows, but Yu-Gi-Oh is something of a favorite.

Oh great and tremendous fangirl... maybe you can tell me; the untranslated first season? I found downloads for the first eleven episodes, but haven't seen anything after that. Is there more or not?

Basically, the creator wanted to make more money. XP Plus, YGO is still so popular. So the manga is making a new arc that fits between Battle City and Ancient Egypt to rake in the cash. I don't mind, because it means Yami is still around. ♥

*cuddles* If you want all of YGO, I think it's best to either find fansubbed torrents, or just buy the whole series subbed off eBay. Most of the fandom (by which I mean subsnobs like me ^^;;) relies on the chinese(?) translated sub, like the stuff that's subbed for you that you buy off eBay. Yay for bootlegs.

And, admittedly, I don't even WATCH the series or own the manga, though I do want to buy it eventually. I get all my info from screencaps and awesome episode summaries and such. I am a bad fangirl. ^^;;

I've got those first eleven episodes downloaded, but it seemed like the fansubbers stopped the series at that point and I can't figure out if that's it or not. And I can't find anything else on-line since it's licensed.
Guess it's off to Ebay! ^___~

Yeah, torrents are horrible to find, unless you're like, actively IN the fandom and ask around and someone uploads their episodes for you. Ick.

Yay for eBay! ;__; When I have money, I, too, shall buy bootleg anime.
