Everyone who knows me knows that I fail at speedy email responses for some strange reason. I mean, I'm on top of things when it comes to LJ because I'm a stalker so you'd think I'd answer promptly to emails when I get them, instead of letting them languish and eventually be eaten up by my inbox deletion. Anyway, this sucks because I really am trying hard to keep up with people who email me... and those tend to be actua relatives and such, since no one in my family knows about this LJ.

AND THEY NEVER WILL.

*coughs* Anyway, I'm considering setting up an alternate LJ, purely to mirror my RL stuff so that family can keep up with me and stop wondering if I'm dead or a lesbian. I would keep this LJ as my main one and everything would stay the same, because I am lazy and don't want to flock things here and set up a bajillion filters. XP The new LJ would be a cleaner, saner, and heavily-editted version of this one, and only relate to me. And family. And normal sounding things.

Of course that means it will be utterly boring, but STFU.

Am still considering my options.

...I have no problem with my extended family thinking I am dead. It means they won't ask me for money when I become filthy stinking rich. :D

I'd suggest using a blog on a different server. MySpace (how much more public can you get? your family would totally think you're hiding *nothing* from them, y'know?) or a google blog, or something...

I refuse to get a MySpace account. The sexual predators and bad press notwithstanding, I just don't want to. I'd never use it. I never use my Friendster one.

Basically, I'd stick to LJ because, well, I'm on LJ ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME. So I'd actually use it, and it doesn't kill me to copy&paste a post to 2 LJs.

You're right, it'd be easy to just copy and paste to another LJ entry, but... well, chances are your main account will be found, y'know? You can copy and paste an entry into a window that'd post to xanga just as easily as to a window that'll post to LJ. And would it matter that you're on LJ all the time? You post an entry for your relatives, you get an email reply if they leave a response on it...

*shrug*

(but don't use xanga, I was just giving another example!)

I noticed Google has blogging now, though I haven't taken a look at it yet.

My main account won't be found if it's not linked to the copy one in any way. XP I don't expect people to friend it, either, since this account is the one where the good stuff happens.

And I know there's google blogging, but I haven't checked it out. Bleh.

I'm probably going to take a look at the Google blogs at some point. I'll let you know if there's something cool about it.
