windandwater: (Obligatory Tentacle Xmas Icon)

Now that I've had my pie (with frosting!) and nothing is happening on CFUD, I can finally get down to writing a real (as opposed to fake) LJ post and catch-up on comments and responses and emails. =D

So, on Saturday I was once again able to badger [livejournal.com profile] aoi to my will and dragged her out to go shopping and watch Narnia with me. Yes, me and Aoi-chan go out shopping and watch movies together. We're very sad people. But going to a movie alone sucks even worse, and we also go dutch on the tickets and popcorn, so that's always good. Before heading towards Tyler, we made a stop at Albertson's because it has a CoinStar machine. =D;; I had a big bottle full of loose change, so I wanted to cash it in for more spending money. Ahahaha... it was an empty Zinfandel bottle, too. I was pretty surprised though! That bottle had over $50 in it! And even with the CoinStar taking about 8 cents for every dollar counted, it was pretty good. And YAY MONEY.

Then the mall. Whee. I love shopping. Especially around this time of the year. There's always so much to see, and I like to window shop, or go in and touch things. Even if I don't buy anything. XD! Also went to Spencer's and, YES, they DID have the pr0ny pervy Xmas cards I wanted. W00t! So, I have Xmas cards for everybody now and they shall be winding their way through the mail in a soon-ish fashion. I also bought a few presents and got ideas for others. I couldn't find the necklace I wanted to get for my mom though. ;__; Dumb people. Don't you know you're not supposed to mount diamonds on silver? Grah. That annoyed me so bad.

And this is where the badness comes in. Aoi-chan and I were getting a bit hungry and decided to get some food. While I was standing in the Panda Express line (Aoi got a table), I felt myself suddenly get really light-headed. I felt really warm all over, kinda clammy, and things got spinny and loud. And that was the danger sign. I waved Aoi-chan back over really quick, and managed to tell her that I was about to pass out. Luckily, I got to the table and sat down and put my head down before I actually fell over. x___X Aoi-chan brought the food while I laid down and panted and tried to get my bearing again. I was kinda upset with myself, because I KNOW my warning signs, and had been feeling a bit weird before we stopped for food, but I just kept pushing myself because I wanted to shop and was having fun. I mean, this has happened to me before, since I have a tendency to eat very little after I first wake up, and get excited easily so I ignore discomforts (like hunger and thirst). So much suckage. Aoi-chan even told me that when she saw me wave her from the line, she thought I was gonna pass out. But we sat for a good long time, and I ate practically everything and drank water and Diet Pepsi, and so I was okay after that.

Anyway, we finished up our shopping and then headed out to the movie theatre to see Narnia!

ZOMG!

Narnia was AWESOME.

Of course, I sorta forgot that Narnia is nominally a kid's movie and this was opening weekend, so even though we were a little early, the theatre was PACKED and there were a lot of kids, families, and teenyboppers (*throttles*). Me and Aoi-chan had to end up sitting somewhat close, but it was STILL AWESOME. Seriously, the movie was SO worth it.

What's very sad is that, even before this, I had a tendency to slash Peter and Edmund together. >_>;; I really tried hard to not be pervy about the movie! I TRIED! BUT PETER. PETER. AND EDMUND. PETER AND EDMUND. ZOMG YES. And Mr. Tumnus~! So very faun-like and cute and hello, shirtless except for that pretty red scarf that brought out the rosiness of his nipples cheeks. And the centaur, whose name I forget, but who was hot also, even with his strange similarity to The Rock.

Oh, and Lucy was adorable. And Susan was very very Susan, and makes me wants to say: "THAT'S why you didn't get to go to Narnia at the end!" But that would be mean. Yes.

But the movie was beautiful without being gratuitous, and I LOVED the little details that they kept in. Like the bluebottle on the windowsill. And Edmund drawing on the stone lion. And the "Clean your sword." *wibbles* All of that made the movie beautiful and perfect and lived up to the books. And oh! The ending! The ending with everyone grown up and so noble and everything! Once a king or queen of Narnia, indeed!

I WANT PRINCE CASPIAN NOW. KPLZTHNX.
