The paternal unit is being snarly and actually needs the phone tonight, so I am abusing stealing borrowing a neighbor's open wireless connection. :3 I'll try to get on AIM, but the connection is somewhat weak and tends to fritz out on me.
The happiness today was that
aoi came over! We watched ALL of Loveless together and asdfghjkhgfdsasdfg... that WASN'T an ENDING. Now I really AM going to have to start reading the manga and reading fics. We also watched the first episode of Trinity Blood, which was interesting and pretty. Aoi-chan also took a bunch of my anime and mp3s to burn off for herself. XP
In other news, I still want ice cream.

Date: 2005-08-21 10:30 pm (UTC)And if you don't mind spoilers...
As far as I can figure out, Seimei is alive, and he's a member of Seven Moons. I don't know why he faked his death or anything, but there's a new Fighter who shows up (he looks like a girl... noooo no one can be prettier than Soubi!!) and the new Fighter (I forget his name) says that Soubi can't be beaten or defeated, except by someone stronger than Soubi -- like the new Fighter.
And I'm pretty sure this new Fighter is Seimei's new Fighter, but that just brings up more questions and why and how Seimei switched Fighters and who the real Loveless and Beloved are. ;__; I need to find those translations. The new Fighter guy is kind of cold.
Oh, and the manga deals with the video game thing/Ritsuka's meeting with Seven Moons so much better.

Date: 2005-08-21 10:57 pm (UTC)oh man... this does sound very interesting. I'd wondered about a couple of things -- in the manga, it does deal with ritsuka meeting up with nagisa in the game so much better. in the anime, it gives the appearance someone is behind ritsuka having hallucinations by the hand putting the insence in his room. at first i thought it soubi, but later, the hand that pets his head is glowing, so that gives me the idea it's seimei, somehow.
and the end of the dream has 'soubi' changing into seimei when ritsuka defies the command to die and be loveless. these are the sorts of things that make me think that ritsuka isn't so much loveless as companionless -- and that soubi wasn't truly seimei's. (course that could be fangirl in me dreaming ... but it's a nice dream)
i think someone can be prettier than soubi, but no one can be cooler and better looking while they attempt it. soubi is all that.
*wails for vol 4 and 5 of the manga to be translated*

Date: 2005-08-21 11:02 pm (UTC)And Volumes 4 and half of 5 ARE translated, but not scanlated. I've been reading bits of it here:
http://cf.geocities.com/omikudou/Loveless.html
Because I've seen the manga, I KNEW that the Seimei they showed in the anime was the "real" Seimei and not like a dream or hallucination. And as for Soubi not really being Seimei's... XD;; The bond between fighter and sacrifice is supposed to be stronger than anything else, but if you look at it, the only person Seimei really cared for was Ritsuka. Hehehe *bats incest thoughts away*
