A Busy Day Indeed

Ahahaha! Managed to get my dad to leave me my car today. And thus, I was able to leave the house. Of course, that's because I had to get passport photos taken (needed for my MPRE admittal card thing) and to deposit a check. It was funny, because I was using my Gaara bag today (it looks like Gaara's sand gourd) and while I was waiting for the photo guy, one of the clerks looked at me and said: "That's a cool bag!" and I was surprised and grinned and said: "Yeah, it is." And then he said: "Gaara, right?" and then TOTALLY whipped out his keychain, which had a little Sasuke keychain catcher hanging off it. XDD!! That was so cool.

After I deposited my check and got my photos, I was free! With a car!

And so, of course, I went out and bothered aoi.



I have the supreme right to bother Aoi-chan whenever I so desire. It's just this sort of thing that's emerged through the years. Besides, if it weren't for me, Aoi wouldn't do cool things like go BOWLING. I've had this urge to go bowling lately, So I dragged Aoi out with me, since she's my squishy Aoi-chan, and if she didn't go with me she would never GET OUT OF THE HOUSE AND AWAY FROM THE BABY. See, so the whole thing was an act of good will and not just me being weird and eccentric and selfish.

HA!

Well, first I hung out a bit at Aoi-chan's house and saw the baby! The baby, who is now a toddler and has the most rockin' unibrow I have EVER seen. But she's cute, and toddles around, and I could see why Aoi-chan was so desperate to get out of the house. XD Also, Aoi-chan gave me a "oh my god you took the Bar!" gift, which consisted of Kizuna #2-3 and Passion #2. Whee! Pr0n for me~!

After foisting the baby off on her brother, me and Aoi-chan headed for the Brunswick Bowling Alley, which I prefer to the other bowling alley in Mo Val. It was here first. And it was closest. Heh. Anyway, we decided to pay for three games each, since it was just the two of us. The place was pretty busy for a Wednesday afternoon. I guess it's because it's summer, but still, I was a little surprised.

So we bowled and gossiped and had fun, and we bowled a pretty crap first game, but gradually got better. I bowled over 100 for the rest of the games (we paid for 2 more games, since Aoi wanted to stay out as long as possible), and Aoi even bowled over 100 twice! Though, I have to admit that I'm all sorts of rusty, and I need to stick to 8 and 9 pound balls instead of 10, because throwing the 10-lbs ball really hurt my wrist and arm after awhile.

I think 5 games is our limit though, since we were tired by the end of it (even with cherry Icees and french fries to snack on between frames). After we returned the shoes, we stopped at the arcade in the bowling alley and watched the kids playing DDR. XD There was this one little kid who was REALLY DAMN GOOD. I was in awe. So was Aoi-chan, and she has the game at home. Heh.

We finally left the bowling alley at around 7ish, I think, and decided to head towards the Mall to go to Walden's and stare at the manga. And get ice cream. X3;; I managed to find a SWEET parking space, too. Bwahahah. Walden's was good, and I picked up Saiyuki Reload #1 and Selfish Love #2. Aoi-chan just looked around for future reference of what to buy. We also ducked into Cartoon Field to check the manga there, and I looked to see if I could find a cute cellphone strap thing. I want to decorate my cellphone! ;___; Also stopped by a shoe store (no sandals, dammit) and this NEAT collectable's store that sells SWORDS. ALL SORTS OF SHINY METAL SWORDS. XDDD!!! We made the guy there pull out two of the swords, which were both taller than Aoi-chan! OMG. And the tallest sword int he store was taller than me (and taller than Aoi-chan with her shoes on). Damn. It was cool.

On the way out, I got myself some banana split Dippin' Dots ice cream, and I sat outside with Aoi-chan while she had a bit of a smoke (cloves, not anything illegal!). We talked a bit more about stuff, which is nice since I rather miss talking face-to-face with people, instead of always online. ^^;; Then it was back to Aoi-chan's to drop her off (and see her vinyl pants, more on this later).



Now I am home. And typing.

AND! I now need the input of certain peoples.

This Friday I'll be taking my MPRE. windsorblue invited me to go out (on Saturday?) to Bar Sinister. I think mikkeneko and aoi expressed interest in going, too. Maybe _faolan_ and sukino, too? I'm still not sure yet.

Anyway, me and Aoi were thinking that if we do go to Bar Sinister, we might as well spend the whole day out, and go to Disneyland or something during the day, and then the club at night. Yes, I'm the geek who likes Disneyland. XPP Plans are still up in the air, so I wanna know what everyone else thinks. I'm mildy iffy about the club, mostly because it seems like there's a pretty strict dress code. And while I would dearly love to see some spankings, I don't know if I'm very goth. I also read a very bad review/blog entry about the club's mean bouncers (and heard it from someone, too). And I can't find my pleather pants yet. Geh. But spankings! Nnnngh!

On the other hand, there could be relaxation instead at Glen Ivy Hot Springs. I REALLY want to go here, and the price would be the same as Disneyland, I think. Heh. I don't know if we'd do the club afterwards though. Or maybe the spa on another day, but that might crush too many wallets.

Of course, after the MPRE I just might be too braindead to do anything besides lay in bed and gibber to myself. Who knows?

And they really ARE fussy with the dress code? Is it bad? I heard about some guy (?) who got bounced out, and then the bouncers beat up him and his girlfriend.

O.o;; The only things I've ever heard of anyone getting tossed out for are throwing up on the floor and getting too friendly with the go-go dancers and/or spanking scenes. Never seen anyone getting beat up, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened. The only posted dress code at the club is "Must wear BLACK", but the cashier did tell me once that I had to be more gothy the next time I came...and then she took my money and shoo-ed me inside. ^^;;

Hmmm... because the hot springs seems to be an all day type thing, at least to get your money's worth. Plus, there's a lounge pool! Amongst other things (like the mud baths and such).

this weekend isn't looking too good for me. i might be able to get away on sunday, but saturday is definitely out. maybe next saturday, perhaps? Mon-Thurs i'm pretty much unavailable till 4pm... maybe noonish on some days, but i wouldn't know until the day itself. so i might have to pass on the hot springs... which could actually be a good thing (& no, i'm not mentioning why. xp).

Curt used to be in Bleed, for Chrissakes. Human Drama, too. The reason I call his denim jacket (I pointed it out to you last week) "the gother-than-thou coat" is because he was wearing it when we were refused admittance.

And though at the time he was laughing as we left because he, of all people, really should have thought of the goth dress code hangup, he was trying very hard to focus on that amusement, because the other half of him was literally up in arms -- in the "you dare refuse admittance to ME?! Do you know who I AM???" sort of way. (of course, that's the half that was most amusing to me!)

I'm sure I do not have the money for either day venture, but keep in contact. And Bar Sinister's really not my scene, but I muchly want to hang out with you (and you, and you, and...) so... well, remember that I can suggest alternate places (Hollywood Blvd is where the sellouts go, c'mon!), even as to other goth places. Or places with much better entertainment. XD Still, call and let me know what's up. My activities will mainly depend on how crampy I still am.

And I have a large room with ample floor space for anyone who needs to crash. Or sit up and talk. ^^ No, seriously.

Yes, but the club has an image to maintain. I think it's silly, but if you're trying to be a gothic vampire fetish club, letting people in wearing kahkis from The Gap doesn't quite do it.
