This is probably gonna be long and wordy because I'm tired and kinda buzzing from the alcohol I had. Bwee!

So.

My parents rolled into town on Wednesday afternoon, just as I said before. Once I got home from school (and after a bit of rest), we all went out to Serramonte since I had to get my hair done. My hair is now short and bobbed and fluffy again, and not long and annoying. :3 Food was also had (yay Panda Express), and while I looked at the clothes I didn't get anything because, seriously now, what the fuck is up with the clothes now? I was just getting used to the 80s thing, and now it's all pastel tunics and white capris. *twitches* I'm so glad that I'm mainly going to be wearing a SUIT, so I just have to worry about everything being pressed and which shoes to wear. But I did buy shoes. Cute shoes. REALLY cute ballerina type black shoes that have long laces to crisscross and tie around your calves. Bwee.

Anyway, we all slept in rather late today (until noon, which is early for me but late for my parents), and after my mom cooked (yay! and she cleaned my stove! double yay!), we all had to try not to run into each other while getting showered and dressed for the Awards Ceremony at 5:30pm. My mom also got into her head to iron thing, which was good because she sorta had to iron the suit I wanted to wear because it was wrinkled. ^^;;

Now I remember why I hate having to dress up and stuff. It involved looking and smelling good and making sure your shoes match and finding a purse and, for the love of God, putting on makeup and real jewelry. It took me over and hour and half to finally finish (after changing my mind about which suit to wear 3 times, and finding a different pair of stockings). I painted my nails in the car on the way to school. XP

The Awards Ceremony was good. Not as stuffy as I thought, and I got a nice plaq! Unfortunately, my last name was spelled wrong on it (I guess they gave up after getting my first name and middle name correct), so the Grad Coordinator took it from me after the ceremony. I'll be getting a new one mailed to me. :3 With proper spelling. Many pictures were taken, and they had a wine and cheese sort of reception afterwards that didn't suck. I had a glass of red wine (not very good, but eh, it was free)... the cheese and crackers and fresh fruit and special cookie things were AWESOME. Mingled a bit with some classmates and their families, but I was mostly drinking that glass of wine. I also snagged my book out of my locker. So all in all, a good time was had.

After the Awards Ceremony, we went out to dinner at Fisherman's Wharf. It was what I would consider a REALLY fancy restaurant (if the prices on the menu have something to say about it). I also had a glass of Chianti with my dinner and polished off the whole glass. I couldn't finish the glass (all the way to the bootm >_>;; )) at school, but there's no way I'm going to waste Chianti. It also helped me tell the difference between the quality of the wines. XDD! Chianti is very smooth and went VERY well with my meal.

I guess my alcohol tolerance is bad these days (since I don't hardly drink) because those two glasses of red wine made me kinda warm and fuzzy. Or maybe it's because it was wine, which I don't have much experience with. I can usually drink quite a few cocktails before I get tipsy, or slam back hard liqour shots. Meh, I'm the same with champagne, too.

Now it is getting close to midnight and K-chan, Aoi-chan, Mikke and Teh Pet will be rolling into SF in a couple hours. I suppose I should stay up for them. :P
