Which scares me because the NEXT Pope is supposed to be the one who's around for the Apocalypse, if you believe the Prophecy of the Popes.

The original Prophecy has nothing to do with an Apocalypse; it's just a list. No commentary about what happens at the end of the list... maybe the Catholic Church just ceases. No more popes. Possible. Probably more so than random showers of fire and brimstone, even if it'd be less fun...

... no no, I'm pretty sure that for the last Pope, "Peter the Roman," he was supposed to be the one to lead the Church through the End Times. But it's not stated whether he's the NEXT Pope (after this one), or if there's more Popes in between, and he's just the LAST one.

No no... some Russian dude, way back when, went to the Vatican, which he'd wanted to do for so long... went into a trance, and basically started a laundry list, descriptions of popes... there's one left after this one. Saw something about that prediction the History Channel, or something, couple years back....
