*pokes things on the internets*

Of course, FF.Net has to go down right when I'm trying to upload all the stuff that I've written. >_O I really think that it doesn't like when I post fics other than GW. I mean, it totally mangled that drabble I wrote for [livejournal.com profile] puchuupoet so badly that I had to remove the fic. I WAS going to try uploading it again, as well as my other drabbles, when the site went down.

Maybe it just hates me. *pokes FF.Net and hopes it comes back*

Anyway, on to other things, of the RL sort.

I think I really am catching a cold or, god forbid, the flu. I'm resting and doing my best to not strain myself so this just stays a cold, but we know how strong MY immune system is. I'm making a mental note to drink lots of OJ during the week, and fluids, and eat warm foods and such. I'm also going to stop by Walgreen's tomorrow and buy some more Nyquil and stuff, as I seem to be running out. May also consider buying an electric blanket or a space heater (this is preferred) because it's getting bloody cold and that's not helping me stay healthy either.

Also, since I just had my first week of classes, I can plan my strategy of attack. They're all interesting and stuff, except for the mandatory requirements that I need to graduate, but I should do okay. However, my schedule is HORRID on Wednesdays. I'm in classes from 10:15am-9:10pm with a 4 hour break in the early afternoon. x___X Seeing how it went last week, I'm going to be eating a HEAVY lunch at around 2pm to get me through the evenings. I have another 50-minute break between my two 3-hour evening classes, so I'm trying to decide whether I should bring a sandwich or something from home (blech, but it might not keep), or just stick with the vending machines on 6th floor, which always have stuff like Lunchables. I also need to stay after classes on Mon, Tues, and Thurs. so that I can study for everything. That won't be so bad, as I only have 1 class each on Mon and Tues. But this mean eating lunch is mandatory. *nodnods* I don't want to lose a ton of weight again like I did my first year. >_<; That almost lkilled me.

And I have morning class everyday at 10:15am, so that means I have to take the 9am buses. Those are always full, and I need to get to class early because we're gonna fill out the seating charts this week. I want a good seat. This means I should be going to bed early during the week, no later than midnight or 1am, which is so much different from last semester where I was a sloth. Blargh... I hope my sleep pattern changes fast enough or I'll be a zombie. At least I have Fridays off. That sorta makes up for having hellacious Wednesdays.

Of course, Wednesdays wouldn't be so bad if I had the INTERNET during those two 3-hour evening classes. But I don't. Because the classes are on the damned 3rd floor, which means the classrooms don't have internet jacks. But they have wireless. *whines* No no no... it would be bad of me to buy a wireless internet card! Bad! Not conducive to paying attention and studying! BAD!

*so weak*

Ack! I need to remember to return some of my books, too. I got the wrong book for Remedies, so I need to return mine and get the right one. Also, I think I might consider returning the book I got for Pacific Settlement of Disputes. The textbook isn't really needed, since we can find everything online. Yay for seminar classes.

Boo for the fact that I'll have a jagillion papers to write. On top of midterms (*hiss!*) and finals.

I really do hope that I win the lottery. *hopehopes*

May also consider buying an electric blanket

If you go for this option, they have ones that adjust to where heat is needed most on your body; more expensive but they're absolutely wonderful. I have a throw sized one I use at my computer, and it keeps me all toasty without overheating me.

Not to mention, if the electric goes out, the blanket still helps to keep you warm. ^_^

Okay, so I live where the electric can go out for 5 days at a time. It's only been out for 2 days one year (1998 I do believe), but it's happened before we moved in (1997) for 5 days. Thank god for gas powered generators.

Well, I have pleanty of blankets and quilts and such, so that's not the problem. My main issue is having a very cold room, as there is a nasty draft that comes in from... somewhere that I haven't figured out yet.

Ooh... that sounds nice. But I generally like to be toasty warm all over. I think I might look into space heaters, since my apartment is small, and my problem is rolling out of a toasty warm bed and into a freezing room.

>_O Sure wakes you up fast, but not very pleasant.

Oh, and speaking of blankets: you have a quilt, but do you have a comforter? Those huge, heavy things that are essentially a very, very large flat pillow?

Because I was always cold in bed until I bought one (six years ago) and have never been cold since.

Oh, I meant comforter. I have 2 comforters on my bed, as well as a big fur blanket thing. You've seen them in my house. My bed is warm and toasty, it's the rest of the place that's not.
