My school is going NUTS and losing its collective hive mind. Why?

The Peterson case verdict JUST CAME OUT.

XD They even set up a classroom to play the broadcast of the verdict and the room was pretty well filled.

EDIT... ha, the bastard is guilty of double murder. Now the new thrill is whether he'll be given the death penalty.

I know what you mean... there are somethings that need to be broadcasted like that, and something that really shouldn't.

Nebraska is a capital punishment state and two times the place I work at, set up TVs in main hallways to broadcast certain incidents that happened in the 15 years I've worked there. One was to show the outcome of the trail for John Jubert - a man convicted of torturing, mutilating, raping and killing four young boys. The other for the execution of a man convicted of raping and murdering a UNO (university of nebraska omaha) coed. ..oh, nearly forgot - the OJ Simpson thing. Watched the slow-speed car chase and all at work.

Now other times they've set up special broadcasts were okay - like the news reports after the OK city bombing, the Columbine incident and of course, 9/11.

Sometimes special news doesn't and shouldn't take over our lives.

Actually, this IS our lives... I'm in law school afterall. :P I was making bets with some of my classmates before class started and before the official verdict came out. ^^; I thought he was going to walk, because of all the jury problems. None of us thought he would really be convicted on both counts.
