Anyone who knows me and my love of international law, as well as at least a dabbling of knowledge with what happened with Kosovo/Yugoslavia/Serbia, shall know why this amazes me.
You know, I tend to keep current events that happen in the world OUT of my LJ. They frequently depress me as much as they intrigue me, but I suppose that's because I'm a politcal scientist. I can see how those mental gears work, and how the polital power play game winds itself through everything. Maybe it's because I often find that it's hard for me to discuss politics and such without sounding... either completely impassive or downright geeky. I've studied this stuff for far too long for it to affect me beyond educational interest sometimes.
*sighs* Maybe I should stop babbling now.
