Mrrrr... I am DEFINITELY going to the FUll Moon Party near Koh Samui on July 1st weekend. I just need to friggen' find a hotel for 4 days/3nights and figure out how I'm going to GET to Koh Samui before the party.

It seems that we can get Professor Okeke to switch the Thursday class to another day, so I would have to leave Wednesday night by overnight train to get to Samui, or fly out there on Thursday. The Full Moon Party is Thursday night. >_O But, at least I'll get to spend a nice weekend on the beach. *grins* I've been waiting to lay out and give myself skin cancer.

*searches the internet for deals* I was supposed to go to Khao San Road tonight to see a travel agency there and see if they could hook me up for this, but I took a nap instead. I guess I can go do that tomorrow, and get my laundry done as well. Then there's my second fitting at between 5-6pm. @___@ Then Saturday and Sunday are booked with day tours with the school... And then the tailor lady is on Monday morning, 9am... and there's the UN visit on Wednesday morning from 10am-12pm... and that might be the day we move Okeke's class... and I have to give my presentation on July 6th and I need to research and write my papers and..

*brain overloads*

I can't believe it's been so long already! *cries* I could SO stay here longer!

*shakes head*

Anyway... more interesting tales from Thailand, since I have forgotten to write about the interesting day I had yesterday. XP

WEDNESDAY:

I actually did meet Miguel in the lobby at 3:30 and we went to the tailor's together. We were a bit early, and so he talked to Paul (the guy who's handling my tailoring) to get his suits and such made up. It's kind of funny, because he couldn't tell the differences between grades of fabric (except between the cheapest and the best)... but I can feel the gradations when I touch the fabric. XD Miguel is such a guy.

So I got my first fitting, for the suit jackets, the dress, and the shirts. I was, however, very weak. ^^; I got another suit made up (double-breasted pinstripe), plus extra pants (to go with the suit I have a dress with), and 4 more shirts. They are very lovely shirts and they make me look like I have a chest and figure. XD That was an extra $270, but I figure it's worth the price. On the way back to the hotel, Miguel and I popped into one of the stores in the Emporium and looked at a shirt. Price: $40. He had a dozen made up, plus two suits, vest and blazer for a bit more than it would've cost him to get 10 shirts from the store.

Blargh... why did I have to go into one of the most staid and expensive occupations to dress for?

Well, we got back to the hotel in time to got out with a group for dinner. Professor Okeke wanted to have dinner with us (his class), so a group of us (but not all) went out. We went to a lovely restaurant with great food and atmosphere called... Cabbages and Condoms. The proceeds from the restaurant go to help fund HIV/AIDS awareness in the provinces and such, so it was all for a good reason. And they had a gift shop. I bought a great number of little things as gifts (like keychains and flavored condoms -- CHOCOLATE! STRAWBERRY! BANANA!). And... postcards.

Certain people will be getting interesting surprises in the mail. XD *pokes [livejournal.com profile] zerotwofan

So that was Wednesday. I really need to run around tomorrow to get everything done before I go off for the weekend. I'm going to be so dead and I'm damn well going to DESERVE that weekend of laying on the beach.
