Well, that was fun.



So, I managed to snag the use of one of the cars yesterday -- my dad's selling his truck, so now there's only the SUV and my mom's car (which is notoriously untrustworthy over long and not-so-long distances) -- and drove over to pick up kodalai from her campus. We went over to Ontario Mills Mall, which is a wonderful, fun place. A stop at Hot Topic allowed Mikke to buy some arm warmers (yay arm warmers), and I bought this cute red and pink beanie with a bunny on the front. It is teh r0xx0r. We mainly hung about and looked at things, the most notable of which was a store called "Love Sac".

Yes, take this time to have the same pervy thought I did. Good.

Anyway, Mikke finally broke down and bought a cellphone, after I had to kick her and tell her that your area code is not the same as your zip code. XP We also had lunch at Panda Express. It was nummy. Then I dragged Mikke to Krispy Kremes to satisfy my sweet tooth and introduce her to something that she will now crave in the middle of the night.

*grin* At least I have half a dozen downstairs for me to munch on the rest of the day.

After that we went back to my house to hang out until aoi got home from work. I them realized that Mikke really CAN'T do anything when a TV is on. It's like having a deer in your headlights. XD XD XD I don't know if my incessant channel surfing bothered her; I just can't stand commercials.

Well, then Aoi-chan came over and we proceeded to watch the Oscars and play LotR Monopoly. It was the best damn game of monopoly I've ever played. I was Aragorn, Aoi-chan was Legolas, and Mikke was Gandalf. Was somewhat bitter that I was not able to buy an Gondorian properties, but then I won at the end!

Whoo! ARAGORN IS THE KING!!!

And we did squee muchly that LOTR swept the Oscars. I really wasn't expecting it to win Best Picture like that.

Then we watched Full Metal Panic! Fuumofu while having a very late dinner, then Aoi-chan and I dropped Mikke back at her dorm.

A very fun day all around!

I told you so. XP It's the TV demon realizing that it has nineteen years of brainwashing to catch up on.

And no, it didn't bother me, unless I was trying to concentrate on doing something else, which wasn't often.

Aww, I'm glad you had so mcuh fun. Now I'm jealous that the both of you are so close and I'm stuck in Pomona with no car!
