I did the most fucking stupid thing ever.

I left my modem cord back in SF. >_<; Because I connect to the internet on Solo through a PC Card modem, I have to have a different cord that adapts to the phone cord. I left it back at the apartment. Goddammit. Maybe this is the Tech Gods telling me to send Solo in to be fixed, so my laptop's real modem works again.

Anyway, I still have internet, but on the home comp, which was bought in 1996, has a 33.6 modem, 24 MB RAM, and not even a gig of memory. Very much less than a gig. It's running Windows 95, and AOL 5.0. Gah... I keep telling my parents to buy a new home comp but they refuse to listen to me!

No AIM either, so I'll be on my AOL SN. >_O

At least I'm not totally deprived of the internet.

... and if you haven't guessed yet, I'm back home. XP

i'll take a look at your home computer next chance i have...i've got a lot of old parts that might help it out, and win98 is better by an order or two of magnitude than 95.

>_<; The reason we don't have 98 is because I don't think the comp will HANDLE it. I don't think there's much you can do to save the thing, but you're welcome to try.
