Fly, you fools!
Jan. 4th, 2004 09:00 pmI am not dead.
There. Now with that over with...
After seeing RotK twice, and then that marathon on New Year's Eve where
aoi and I watched FotR and TTT Extended back-to-back, which only extended my love for the Sons of Gondor (Boromir and Faramir, and Aragorn, too) I have fallen into the mires of LotR ficcage.I started out at the Library of Moria (conveniently organized by slashy pairing *whee!*) and have been reading anything that strikes my fancy... usually with either (or more) of the Sons of Gondor in it. Aoi-chan has even been making me very nice LotR iconses to use. Well, she made most of them for herself, but I stole them. Because she's my uke and I get to treat her as such.
Have also come to a realization: Frodo is the Duo of LotR fandom.
No, really. Apparently, people love him so much that they can only express this love by horribly angsting the hell out of him and otherwise traumatizing/subjecting him to abuse. But he also gets lots of hurt-comfort and fluffy sex, too. *fist pump*
Also found mpreg. I shall not talk about this now.

Was also nearly scared away one night by the whole manhood/hobbithood/elfhood thing. But I immediately fled and drowned myself in very nice, angsty, wonderful incest. Yay Boromir/Faramir! YAY!
Also, have never heard of a penis being referred to as a "red hot brand" before, but it much amused me.
*sighs* Anyway, I'm still sewing as best I can, but I seem to have misplaced the stuffing that I KNOW I have in the house somewhere. *growls* And I hate it when thread knots up.
In other news, Gaia is a whore and I have two sales/auctions I need to stalk tomorrow. T_T Why, Gaia? Why must you be so uppity?! It's Ian's fault. I know it is. *nodnods*

What is the lesson in all this?
Gimili, Son of Groin.
'nuff said.
EDIT... and if you die with your eyes open, it means you're hungry.

Date: 2004-01-04 11:39 pm (UTC)Heh. I just mortally offended one of my friends by suggesting that Faramir is a wussy non-heroic character. I didn't mean it!!! She's starting a Faramir LJ community too.
Have also come to a realization: Frodo is the Duo of LotR fandom.
*blinks* You're right!!!
But I really can't see Sam as Heero.
(no subject)
Date: 2004-01-05 09:04 pm (UTC)And Sam isn't Heero. I would say Heero is Aragorn, except... well, that would make Relena Arwen. *shudders*
