*puts on best waif look* Please, sir, I want some more.

-------------------------

Have received cards from many people, who shall be thanked by name when I am more coherent. Have cards for all, and will be writing like a fiend tomorrow, as well as gift-wrapping and helping my mom cook.

-------------------------

Have received a mysterious, brown-wrapped parcel from [livejournal.com profile] zerotwofan. After recent conversations, I fear opening this parcel in front of my parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and my goddaughter on Christmas morning.

Should I have a reason to fear?

*pokes Sharon*

*giggles* It's just something small and very, very cheesy. I got the same thing for Mikke. It was just something to make you laugh. You probably don't want to open it in front of other people, though. Unless they know you like we do. ^___^

Mikke won't get hers until she gets back to school, so please be careful what you say about it. Really, it's just something very silly.

Must smuggle back to open in the privacy of my room, then. And I hope you like your... uhm... card/gift. Once I mail it, that is. Don't worry, it's worth the wait.

I didn't cry, but this REALLY didn't help with my fear of spiders. I had to look away from the screen.

It was actaully the stabbing bit during that, that had me cringing and gasping out loud. But most of the theatre did, too.

The moment that made me cringe was during the siege at Minas Tirith when one of the big chunks of the buildings flies past the camera and barely misses it.

The whole Minas Tirith thing was AWESOME. I always had a bit of a problem imagining the layout of the city when I read the book, like when they kept falling back to different levels. But what I saw beat my imagination wholesale.

The White City ROCKS.

Oh... and I liked the flaming Stweard. His death seemed... insignificant when you see him falling but all the battle is going on. It was truly cool.

Oooohhh YEAH.

For the movies, Edoras is still my fav (human) city, though. That was an actual SET, after all. Not just an extremely well-done miniature.

*nods* It was a neat way to emphasize how much Denethor had deteriorated and become nothing more than a raving lunatic who got to sit in the stewards throne. The scene where he was eating as Pippin sang and Faramir charged Osgiliath achieved that same effect.

OMFG, they should be slain for that ending! *smites*
>.< *is creeped out*

... but the shonen-ai hint-ness was adorable as always! XD

I could've done without the Frodo parts during The Big Battle... and they shouldn't have cut off the ghost-resurrection-thing, but... anyway.

Merry Christmas, Milady! *hugglegropes*
(and next year I will beg for your address, which I still don't have ;_;, so I can send you a pervy postcard >_>)

Hehehe... I didn't mind that they cut out the Hobbiton stuff. I thought that was boring.

But I actually LIKED the ending.

but but but... it's weepy!

they shed way too much 'goodnatured laughter' and too many 'no-don't-leave-me! tears' for such a manly movie...

I'm re-reading the books right now, to get some feeling back into my toes. >_>;

And here I thought you stole my address from where I posted it on other people's LJs. ;P

And the ending(s) were a bit much, but well worth it. It didn't feel like a 3 1/2 hour long movie at all. AAAAAND... I heard the extended version of it will be close to FIVE HOURS LONG!

*eagerly anticipates*

I know exactly what you mean!!! I knew what was going to happen but I was crying for almost the entire second half of the movie!! And for about half an hour afterwards!

And my god! More shounen-ai hints than you can shake a really big stick at!!!

You could shake an ENT at all the shounen ai hints. But I loved it, preciousssss...

And did you catch Smeagol calling Deagol, "my love"?

Oh yes. Definately caught that!! I always through that they had to be slightly closer than friends.

And I loved the cute scenes between Merry and Pippin.
