They fear me no longer. As I was walking back to campus after lunch, I saw one right in my path. It was all snuggled down and fluffed out like it was sleeping.

Naturally, I kicked at it.

It just waddled away, staying fluffy.

Naturally, I kicked at it again and actually prodded it with my shoe.

It waddled away again and hunkered down.

._. I've lost my ability to frighten pigeons with my presence. Such a sad day.

In other news, I had class today. Blech. I think I'll write more when I get home.

It was probably just too cold to fear you properly.

If I was cold, and something 100 times bigger than me kicked, I would GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY.

*sizzle*

Stupid pigeons.

Perhaps you should try a more subtle, mental approach. Walk by them and whisper things like "squab pie." That'll scare 'em. *nods decisively*

Hmmm... sounds good in theory, but if they're not afraid of me stepping on them, I'm not sure they have enough brains to undestand subtle threats.

... maybe if I threw things at them.

Rocks with notes saying "squab pie" tied around 'em. That way it's a double whammy.

You need to give a battle roar or something. That'll scare them. *nods firmly*

I'm embarassed to yell at pigeons in the middle of the lunchtime crowd. It's the financial district, so there's lots of businesspeople around.

But you know you would just be giving voice to the suppressed longings that they're all feeling!
