Things Really Do Come in Threes...

Yeah, so I got Solo fixed because of the bad driver problem, ne? So, Solo decides to be even MORE uppity. While I was in the middle of spamming Gaia and chatting with kodalai, Solo froze. Now, this had been happening before and I usually just pull the battery (*wince*) and start up again.

I did that.

And suddenly, AOL couldn't initialize my modem. I spent over two hours trying to figure out what was wrong. What did I find out? My modem was gone. Just... gone. I almost started to break down because I didn't have the drivers disk to reset my computer. I had the one for Applications and the full Systems Restore disks, but not the drivers one.

So, instead of spending my Friday doing my work for school (damn paper), I had to go down to Comp USA again. And what did I learn there?

That my modem was missing. No kidding, fucktard, I told you that myself. Anyway, it would have cost me over $140 to give them my laptop and it would be fixed in a week. What the fuck?! A WEEK?! I need my laptop NOW, dammit!

So, I ended up buying a new modem card (cost: $60+) and I've installed it now. Grrrr... I don't have the fucking time to play around. What pisses me off is the tech guy didn't even tell me that I could buy a new card, thought I guess they want to make more money.

Humph... and I even installed the card myself, so they can't charge me for THAT.

I swear, I didn't have these problems when I was running AOL 8.0... I really think that it's the AOL 9.0 that's causing all my problems.

Now I need to calm down before I go nuts or something.
