Geh... I need to write this stuff down so I remember just what all I did today...
Things Done:
-- paid SBC bill
-- mailed SBC postcard
-- got locker assignment
-- turned in blue book form
-- got first assignments for classes
-- got supplements
-- bought Crim Pro supp
-- rode the 9x home
-- bought things from Walgreen's
-- deposited check, transfered money, got cash
I had a pretty eventful day today, now that I'm conscious enough to write about it. I woke up early (for my standards) and after a nice breakfast (have to eat the bananas because they're getting brown), I settled down to do work.
First, was going through all my mail. A lot of crap, but a lot of important thing. Like my refund check from SBC, and then the phone bill. >_< So I did all that and sorted through my things. Turns out I was moved to a different section of Appellate Advocacy. Not a big deal, since all the classes are at the same time, but I need to know such things.
Then I gathered up all my stuff (and put new batteries in my CD player) and headed off for the bus. I think I'll be taking the 9x to and from school, unless I figure out where the 15 goes. I got to school and spent some time running around campus, picking up my supplements, getting first assignments, etc. What I'm pissed about though, is that I took my lock off my locker for the summer. And now its been reassigned. >_<; I went to get a new locker and because of the shortage, I have to share with someone! I lost my very nice solo 3rd floor locker, and went to a shared 6th floor one. *growl*
Mailed my letters, went to the bookstore (got this free products thing too, which I'll have to paw through tomorrow... err... later today), and went to Walgreen's. I had to buy scrubbing sponges. ^^;; Also dropped by the ATM to deposit my check and get some cash.
Now, by this time, I was running on empty, since I hadn't eaten lunch. I stopped at McDonald's to get fries and a soda to tide me over. Also gave a dollar to the homeless man outside, since it was sad to hear him keep asking people for change.
Then I caught the 9x going back to San Bruno.
Wow... that was a trip.
I caught it on 3rd Street (the same stop I get off at when going TO school) and decided to see where it went. It was... informative. After blasting through the Financial District and Mission and Market, we went right into...
THE RED LIGHT DISTRICT!
That's what I call it anyway. The most dense population of strip clubs, sex stores, and massage parlors I have ever seen. All a stone's throw away from the touristy areas of the City. Then we got into part of Chinatown, and the bus was FLOODED with little old Chinese ladies carrying their groceries.
Hmmm... little old Chinese ladies on the 9x, or the large black men on the 9?
Forgive me for feeling safer on the 9x, seeing as I am a little Asian girl.
It was a bit of a longer ride for the Express, but considering that I got on so early and went through so many places, it's okay. We passed by Market and 4th going back towards San Bruno and it was standing room only. At least getting on at 3rd got me a seat that I guarded viciously.
I'm going to have to figure out where to buy my MUNI pass though, so I don't have to keep paying for bus fare.
So, I got back to my place, dropped my stuff, and crashed.
Busy day.
And school starts on Monday.
