Sorta. It's a PM from some chick on Gaia. She asked for people to review her fic and I did so. I told her that I didn't like Mary Sues on principle, but I was polite about it. And what do I get? A nice PM in my message box that says:

and i suppose your a better writer with you 'beloved' yaoi?

(No changes made to the sentence except to italicize it)

Of course, the horrid grammar and spelling mistakes immediately assaulted me and I could not beat down my need to snark. I wrote a rather long, but intelligent and polite reply, which kodalai said was just snarky enough.

I did not, however, beta that sentance for the girl. That was my first idea. I thought it might be much. But if I get another PM, I shall avenge the grammar gods!

*snarf* yaoi is a genre, it isn't a literary crutch and a masturbatory device for the writer's ego. And you know what they say. the best proof of mary sue is when you take bad comments as personal criticism. ^_^ 'Nuff said.

That's what I think, too. Plus, the girl hasn't PM-ed me back. I shall assume that I used words too large for her to comprehend. Or maybe she was scared away by my proper grammar and spelling.
