In an attempt to stop thinking about RL, I am watching "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" on TV.
It's such a wacky movie. But I still love Everlasting Gobstoppers.
Told mom about the apartment thing. She was not pleased, but now she's pushing more for me to move in with those People Whom I Don't Know. She'd much rather I move in with them than get my own place. At the moment, that would be cheaper, but still...
... the idea of moving in with people that I don't know at all freaks me out, even if they're retired Filipino dentists.
*sighs*
Hopefully I can find a place that will fit in with my budget, which is hard. It would be better if I had a roommate. Maybe I should skulk around the university postings.

Who did you come up with anyway?

Date: 2003-07-11 11:35 pm (UTC)Anyhow, here's the list:
Augustus - Gluttony
[The kid is always eating, and he's rich to the point where his family is extravgant.]
Violet - Pride
[She brags about everything, as does her father. Ref: The interview scene, where she's going on about how she chewed one piece of gum for X number of days - which, of course, was longer than her friend Cordelia.]
Veruca - Avarice
[The whole scene in the goose egg room pretty much sums it up. "I want everything, and I want it now!"]
Mike TV - Sloth
[He does nothing except sit in front of the TV.]
Charlie - Envy
[He's always wishing for a better life, and he even gets on his own case about the golden ticket - that it doesn't happen to kids like him because he's poor.]
Wonka - Anger
[Not only does he blow up at the end, but when each kid goes, he has a lackluster attempt at helping them, one in such a matter that could be consider as snide and a result of a tempered anger. Ref: The scene where Augustus falls into the chocolate river. "Help. Help."]
Slugworth - Lust
[He wants the gobstopper, and is willing to pay top dollar for it's secrets. Besides, he's creepy.]
