CARD CAPTOR SAKURA HAS A SEQUEL!
No, I'm not talking about the second arc of the manga where Eriol appears, I'm talking about a BRAND SPANKING NEW MANGA SERIES by CLAMP.
I managed to snag a copy of Weekly Shounen Magazine at a Japanese bookstore today. I was intruigued because on the cover were two characters who looked an awful lot like an older Sakura and Syaoran. Guess what? THEY ARE! I managed to get the first chapter of this new manga!
It's called "Tsubasa -- RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE". Also, it's a crossover/connected with another CLAMP series running in Young Magazine called "XXXholic".
The basis of the series sems to be parallel dimensions, because a lot of familiar CLAMP characters are showing up, and not just the ones from CCS.
Okay, now this just proves that CLAMP has gone insane on the power they wield over otaku, because they've created their own damn AU and reused their own characters. I'm not going to question their originality issues, but this gives a damn good reason why they haven't finished X yet. *grumpgrump*
I mean, Lawful Drug is still running as far as I know. I guess CLAMP just likes to have a bunch of things to do at one time.
SYAORAN IS DAMN SEXY.

skyblueandblack. aoi couldn't come because her co-worked punked out on her when he TOTALLY owed her. Geh. Males.
Anyway, K-chan and I hit Little Tokyo for some very fun anime/manga shopping and lunch. Beside the Weekly Shounen, I also bought myself the April issue of Newtype USA because, duh, the Saiyuki guys are the centerfold. Chains! Rowr! I also got a nice bag full of things from K-chan and deartsigane35 (pretty shirt! Thanks!).
But my chocolate frog melted while in the car. >__<; I chucked him in the fridge when I got home, so he should still be edilbe.
Okay... so the scary thing I'm trying to forget.
I was propositioned today.
*SHUDDERS*
K-chan went to buy some chopsticks for Tsigane, so I decided to wait outside the store and sit for a bit (and also, rip into my Newtype). There was a bench outside the store and this old, bearded white guy made some space and asked if I wanted to sit. I said, "thanks" and did so. Then he told me his name and asked me for mine... this is a rough transcript of the conversation and my personal thoughts in parentheses:
Guy: Hi, my name is ___________ (I forget it, I wasn't really listening). What's your name?
Me: *fussing with Newtype* Huh? Why do you want to know? (I can't stand it when strangers ask me for my name like that, especially when they have no reason to).
Guy: I'd just like to talk to you.
Me: Oh. *thinks: What a lonely old man* My name is May. *returns to fussing with bag and trying to remove plastic from Newtype*
Guy: So, do you live around Little Tokyo?
Me: Uh? No. *fussfuss* (I wasn't paying attention to him... I wanted my Newtype)
Guy: Just did some shopping?
Me: Uhmm... yeah.
*silence for a minute or so*
Guy: May? Would you like to go to my place?
Me: *thinks: WHAT THE FUCK?!* *looks up at man to see if he's serious -- he is* NO. *looks down and tries to fuss more with stuff, trying to think of way to get out of this situation*
*silence for a bit*
Guy: So did you buy a Lotto ticket?
Me: Nope. *thinks: Shit... he's trying to find out how old I am. PERV!* I bought one last week but I didn't win. They said the winning ticket came from LA. *thinks: Shit! I need to get outta here!*
Then I proceeded to look at my watch, faked being late, and ran back into the store to the comfort and protection of K-chan. I also made her walk to the left out of the store (the bench and the Guy were on the right). We were supposed to get Mochi, but that was on the right, too... so I ducked into an alcove in front of another store, pointed out the Guy to K-chan and told her a bit of what happened. Then we made a WIDE berth around the Guy while I huddled against K-chan's side and tried to be invisible.
Then we had mochi and I told her EVERYTHING that happened. I also freaked out at her for a bit. She was appropriately appalled and disgusted. Good for her. That's why she's my friend.
God! The Guy was old enough to be my grandfather! What's really scary is that this was obviously a SYSTEM that he used, possibly one that worked for him before! *full body shudder* Geh! I feel dirty! I really should've just bitched him out, publically and loudly, but I was too shocked that such a thing even HAPPENED to me in the first time. I'm not cute at all... and I wasn't dressed slutty or anything. Hell, I was wearing a shirt that said: "Warning Multiple Personalities".

Okay, now I must banish this memory forever and drown myself in boysmut to feel better.
