Ha! I said I would do it!
Jan. 18th, 2003 12:00 amAck... I don't like this at all. It's supposed to come before the bear!scene, and after a very nice sex scene that I haven't written yet. ^^;;
When he felt strong arms wrap around his waist, it was nothing for Duo to snuggle into the embrace, refusing to abandon his sleep. And why should he? There was only one male that would be this close to him, touching him, making tiny sparks of pleasure tingle through his nerves as rough fingertips stroked his bare skin. The Feline sighed as the Lupine shifted, sitting up, but not releasing his hold on Duo. It didn't feel like he had been asleep for very long at all; he could still feel a pleasant langor suffusing his limbs, making him feel warm and content. And even if he was tired, how could he resist when Heero was kissing him so softly? How could he resist after what had happened the night before?
"... again...?" Duo mumbled, his words slurring slightly. For some reason, Duo eyes refused to open, but that didn't stop him from winding his arms around Heero's neck, pulling the Lupine down and deepening their kiss. Heero groaned, and Duo felt distinctly pleased when he felt he felt the Lupine stretch out fully on top of him.
They kissed slowly, exploring each other's mouths as if it was a new experience. Maybe it was. But unconsciousness was still calling and Duo slipped down, simply opening his mouth to allow Heero full access.
"You're falling asleep," the Lupine observed, licking the shell of Duo's ear.
"... mhmm..."
"You're tired."
"... uhhuh..."
Heero made a soft sound in his throat, pushing himself up on his elbows and manuevering himself off the Feline. "Then sleep. I haven't been paying attention to my Territory lately. I need to patrol."
"... no..." Duo tightened his grip, fastening his lips against Heero's. He didn't want to break the comfortable warmth that surrounded him. Already the bed felt colder without the Lupine at his back. Heero just chuckled, kissing Duo once more before untangling Duo's arms from around his neck and pulling away. Duo finally managed to open his eyes, just as Heero leaned down to rub his cheek against Duo's.
"I'll be quick. Rest. And stay here, in the den. I don't want you wandering around while the other Packs might be around."
Duo pouted, curling up in the furs. He had the vague thought of arguing with the paranoid Lupine, but decided against it. Instead, Duo tucked himself into a ball, pulling a fur across his shoulders. Heero stood watching Duo for a minute, and the cat managed to give him a soft smile in return. Then Heero turned around quickly, striding out of the den and into the daylight.
A stray shaft of sunlight caught Duo in the eyes and he grumbled, pulling the fur over his head. He managed to doze off for a short while, but it was no use... with the furs around him, his delicate nose could catch the mingled scents of himself, Heero, and sex. Duo wriggled uncomfortably, trying to stave off his physical reactions. He flipped onto his stomach, buring his face against the soft bedding. Damn... now he couldn't sleep at all, his mind torturing him by bringing up remembrances of the previous night.
"Where the hell did that come from?" Duo asked himself, rubbing his cheek against a pillow. He'd never felt like that before. Of course, coupling with the Lupine was always wild and exciting, burning in his senses like fire, but last night had been so different! The fire had still been there, but it was like it was banked... burning steadily and giving off constant heat. And instead of just flipping him over onto his hands and knees and slamming into him, Heero had been amazingly considerate... engaging in the act so slowly and tenderly that Duo had almost been in tears before Heero was done. It was so close... Duo had come so close to begging last night, to throwing away his pride for the blue-eyed Wolf.
The Feline shivered at that thought, rolling over onto his side and curling up around the pillow in his arms. But that was just an empty substitute for the way Heero had felt. The last few days had been so nice... the Lupine had let him out of the den (under his watchful blue eyes, of course). It had been wonderful, to just be able to hunt and climb and lounge in the sunlight and grass. Duo still felt a twinge in his heart, that he could only have a taste of the freedom he had always taken for granted. But Heero's hold on him was strong... it wasn't just ropes that kept the Feline in the Lupine's Territory. But still, Heero was changing... becoming kinder. And there was a chance that he could give Duo his freedom for real, be considerate and gentle, like he had been the night before.
"Why can't you be like that all the time, Heero?" Duo asked the empty den. Frustrated, the Feline sat up, tossing the pillow off to the side. It did no good for him to remain laying in bed, especially with his thoughts running at top speed. Pacing around the den, Duo quickly braided his hair (Heero had an obsession with having it down). After a few minutes of aimless puttering around the den, idly fussing and arranging various items to his satisfaction, Duo was bored out of his mind. And he was hungry.
A sudden idea struck Duo.
With a mischevious grin on his lips, Duo lifted up the thick leather flap over the entrance to the den. He stuck his head through the entryway and looked around the surrounding area quickly. Heero's scent had faded, indicating that he was not nearby.
"Heh... he told me to stay in the den, but I never agreed. Besides, it's not like I'm *going* anywhere. I just need something to eat. He wouldn't want me to *starve* to death..."
The reasoning firmly in place, Duo dashed off, determined to hunt *something* to relieve his stress.
