What a busy day...
Jan. 2nd, 2003 04:42 pmDammit... AOHell decided to get screwy on my laptop. *kicks* I was really hoping that I wouldn't have to upgrade to 8.0, but I guess I have to now. Stupid AOHell... has to make life difficult for me.
Now I have to do my online things on the home computer, which is really REALLY old. I mean, ancient. We bought the thing in 1996. See, my parents don't understand the necessity of buying a new computer. >__< As long as this thing can still go online and my mom can do her charting stuff and my dad can play Solitare, they don't see the need to upgrade to a newer machine. Also, if I use the home comp, it means my parents can tell home many hours I spend online. >__< My mother doesn't approve of my sleeping habits.
In other news, I actually went out today. ^^ Still coughing, but I feel a bit better. That is, if I don't have a relapse and die or something.
Actually, my dad had to get the watch I gave him for Christmas adjusted since the band is too big. And since we were going to the mall anyway, I decided to spend some of my Christmas cash. My dad is the most horrid person in the WORLD to go shopping with. He just sucks the will to live right out of your body until you're cranky like he is. >__<;;
Of course, Murphy's Law is always in effect so the person who fixed watches wasn't in today, and Suncoast had apparently run out of all the cool anime DVDs that I had been lusting over before the holidays. They still had the Escaflowne Box Set though, but $199.99 is a bit pricey. I know
aoi managed to get it for less at Best Buy.
Aaahh... the joys of price comparison shopping. So I managed to bully my dad to taking me to Best Buy. There was precious little anime there, too (I guess the racks were attacked during the sales). BUT! I managed to snag the Fushigi Yuugi Eikoden Box Set. *joygasm* And not only that, it's the Limited Edition, which comes with a set of 10 mini-shitajiki (Aoi-chan's heart just skipped a beat), and this cool booklet thing.
Also snagged the TaTu CD. It was on sale. *___* Damn... and I got smacked by a bunny when I was listening to it. >__< I don't write Yuri... *thinks* Wait, yes, I do. I've written Yuri in my Sailor Moon days. *sighs* *tries to strangle the H+R bunny*
... There were some very cute pants at Macy's. I want a pair. But I dearly hate to go shopping (especially clothes shopping) alone. I can do it out of necessity, but it's just... Not Fun. *wonders who she can wrangle into going shopping with her*
We also made a stop by the BX (Base Exchange... yup, my dad used to be in the Navy), because my mom needed batteries. Heh... my dad actually cracked open his wallet and bought two DVDs. One is Minority Report (kickass!) and the other is Bloodwork (... I don't like Clint Eastwood movies...). Anyway, there was no sales tax (*evil chuckle*) but there wasn't any cool anime out on the racks. The first DVD of Arjuna... but I didn't want to get that yet.
I still want the Escaflowne Perfect Vision Box Set! And the Gundam Wing Complete Operations! Guess I'll have to surf around online.
Oh! I also realized that I like Frutopia better than I like Snapple. It's just harder for me to find Frutopia anywhere. Besides, Frutopia has funner names. Lemonade Love and Hope, Pink Lemonade Euphoria, Fruit Integration, Strawberry Passion Awareness... YUM!
That's about it, I think. Now I must go eat something before I faint.
