My god, this was the day that wouldn't end.
I had the patience and attention span of a lower invertebrate today, I'm pretty sure. I can't even remember anything besides the fact that there's a really nasty draft in my Contracts class. I damn near fell asleep in the library, too.
Oh, and the "Legal Career Options Day" didn't totally suck, but I am damn glad to be out of my boots and wearing fluffy socks. There was a panel part and a networking (a.k.a. schmoozing) part. They had little snack foods. I think me snagging a can of Coke was the only thing that kept me conscious. I did manage to talk to the International Law-ish person. He turned out to be representing the Foreign and Civil Service. It's interesting, but I don't know if I'm the type to move every 2-3 years from Embassy to Embassy. But the Civil Service is based in DC, so that's not too bad. Of course, being a government job means a starting salary around $40k, but the hours and benefits are pretty decent. Picked up an internship booklet... and a study guide thing for the Foreign Service Exam!
Ran into L-kun like... all day today. o_O* Maybe it was the skirt. But he's interested in international law, too, so we were both at the table listening to the guy. I don't know if our chatting would be considered flirting, but I did sorta lean up against him to read a booklet over his shoulder. No, I wasn't slutty! He refused to grab a booklet for me, so I had to smack him. Then he said he would get paid more than me because he's male. I bitched about glass ceilings then told him I could always get a sex change operation. He gave me a funny look. He got me the booklets, and something like: "Anything else, miss?" And then I told him he could get into the kitchen and bake me a pie.
I told you I was tired.
I've also decided to look into being a judge or a professor. Me and my wacky interests.
I'm way too tired to be coherent anymore. I'm going to bed.
