It's freaking cold here. I wish it would just
rain already! At least then I would know what to wear!
Also, if you haven't already heard about
the anti-war rallies that occured over the weekend, you really need to start watching the news. Or reading a newspaper or something. There was tons of people crowding up the BART. Didn't effect me much, since I decided to stay home. It's not fun to go to a political rally if you're not going with your friends. ^^
Also, if SF weren't messed up enough,
the Raiders made it to the SuperBowl. And yes, the people in Oakland burned things in celebration... *shakes head* And what makes it better (?) is that the Raiders came out of L.A., so they've got Southern AND Northern California rooting for them.
I also happened to get my Headline News fix (yay CNN!) and got the latest news regarding
Roe v. Wade.
Considering the split in the Supreme Court, and the fact that the Republicans hold the Congress and the Presidency, we could be looking at the landmark case being overturned. If you know me at all, you'll know this makes me mightily pissed. It's almost like overturning something like
Brown v. Board of Education... oops, I forgot,
the President is speaking out against that, too.Oh, and just to make you even MORE paranoid and in fear of where this country is going,
here's some info on North Korea rejecting the UN resolution, and here's
how Powell is standing on the issue of Iraq.God, I'm such a news whore. Feels good though, especially since this is my area of expertise. ^^;;
