Heh... the family went out again today to shop and left me home alone to wallow in my misery. Of course, it's not really misery, since I got to, well... wallow around like a sloth. Naps are Very Good Things.

Also, tonight [livejournal.com profile] aoi came over and visited. I was finally able to give her the Christmas present that [livejournal.com profile] skyblueandblack left for her, and the one from me, too. Also... I got a present! It had more than one part! *squees happily*

Plus, what I consider the best thing, is that me and Aoi-chan got to talk alot. We have a tendency to have long, rambling conversations that touch on everything and nothing and suit us both just fine. I think we talked for about three hours. My voice finally started to give out on me. ^^;; Of course, that was mostly because of being sick, but still... it's pretty cool.

do you really want to know what we talked about? )

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Okay, so it's not the New Year yet for me, but I'm probably not gonna be online at midnight. ^^;; I hope everyone has an enjoyable time ringing in the New Year, though. *sighs* I can't party like it's 1999 (dammit... I just dated myself), so I can be happy with vicarious rejoicing.

Oh! And here! Impress your friends by actually knowing the lyrics to this song!

Auld Lang Syne

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne?

CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup of kindness yet,
For auld lang syne!

And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp,
And surely I'll be mine,
And we'll tak a cup o kindness yet,
For auld lang syne!

We twa hae run about the braes,
And pou'd the gowans fine,
But we've wander'd monie a weary fit,
Sin auld lang syne.

We twa hae paidl'd in the burn
Frae morning sun till dine,
But seas between us braid hae roar'd
Sin auld lang syne.

And there's a hand my trusty fiere,
And gie's a hand o thine,
And we'll tak a right guid-willie waught,
For auld lang syne
