Now, I know that you're supposed to celebrate May Day/Beltane by having bonfires and having lots of sex, but not like this, you bastards.

Of course, considering that May Day is a traditional celebration of Labor and the "Working Man," I suppose you can't really be surprised that this happened in France.

Damn those bourgeouise.

... some of y'all don't keep up with the news, here's some quick interesting tidbits.

Well, interesting to me, anyway. But I'm a news-whore. There. I said it. Happy?

Arafat was finally released from the seige on his Ramallah compound/ All I can say is: it's about damn time. Maybe they can actually get some peace proposals through with some *REAL* discussion this time. Of course, considering the political history of the area, I'm betting that doesn't happen. I'm telling you, if World War III is gonna start, it's gonna start here.

On the homefront, A Catholic priest has been arrested on child rape charges. Eh, things haven't been very good for the Catholic Church lately, ne? Of course, the Pope has met with all the Cardinals to discuss the latest scandal rocking the Church... do I smell a change in the air? Probably not, especially since the US Cardinals are backing off the "zero tolerance" standard that EVERY OTHER CARDINAL AND BISHOP IN THE WORLD AND THE POPE agreed to. :::sighs:::

Oh... and the Shrub is meeting with the Chinese Vice President. Look, ma! It's a Repulican trying to focus on international affairs! Oo-er!
