[Scene: The Sanctum]
[the Writer is sprawled face down across her desk, more laying on top of the wooden surface than actually seated in her chair. Her body is sparking erratically, sort of like when you stick a fork into a light socket.]
Duo: [stepping forward carefully] Uh, Writer?
Writer: .....
Duo: Man, don't go pulling a Trowa on me, Writer. I thought you called me.
Writer: [muffled] ... 's'a m'stake...
Duo: You're not looking too hot...
Writer: [turning her head so that she is more audible] ... good boy... stating the obvious...
Duo: [long-suffering sigh] And here I thought that poster of me would keep you bouncing for days.
Writer: Even a full-body, five-foot poster of you isn't enough to combat my first day of classes, Duo.
Duo: I know. I just kinda hoped it wouldn't be so bad this semester.
Writer: My life sucks ass.
Duo: [debating between making a crude joke or being kind, he decides kindness is better -- besides, a pissed Writer would fry his ass in seconds] It'll get better.
Writer: [looking up with Big Shoujo Eyes (TM)] You promise?
Duo: [staring] Do I ever lie? [shakes his head] Shit, Writer. You do that shoujo-bubble thing better than me.
Writer: I know. [waves a hand dismissively] You guyz just work on your bunnies. Maybe having you pestering me all the time will actually motivate me. Or maybe I'll just give you a vacation. I don't know yet.
Duo: [nodding] Sure. I'll pass the world along.
