Scots do speak a language other than English sometimes, but it's
called _Gaelic_.

CHRISTY: Actually, Mel, to be perfectly accurate it's Scots-Gaelic,
as distinct from the Gaelic sometimes spoken in Ireland. Far from
being the official language of Scotland, it was actually banned along
with the clan tartans and bagpipes when--
