i'm cranky now. i think i'll sleep some more. or possibly watch CNN. wait... i have to stay up until i take my next dose of vomit-inducing medication.

what the hell do they have you on? have to ask, since i am one of those people who seems to get all the oddball reactions to medications. for example, percocet makes me itchy.

apparently, i'm taking penicillin (so the gaping holes in my mouth don't get infected) and vicodin. it's the vicodin stuff that's throwing me for a loop. i tend to be easily influenced by foreign substances in my system anyway, but this stuff is pretty nasty.

and it's habit-forming, too! yay!

(and on a side note, amoxicilin gives me a very violent reaction, but i'm not allergic to it)

why don't you just get them to switch you to something else? violent retching does not aid in the healing of oral wounds. try something like percocet, darvocet or even celebrex.

oh, i haven't been actually throwing up. it's mostly that the stuff makes me nauseous and dizzy. the worst of it was the first day, but i was still under the influence of the anesthetic then. i happen to think that *feeling* like you're about to hurl is worse than actually doing it, because at least then you get somewhere. but no, i get to be all dizzy, but it's sort of okay because it gives me legitimate reasons to sleep for 15 hours a day.
