stranger in a strange land is an excellent book. have you read the cat who walks through walls? or the moon is a harsh mistress? i'm a bit of a heinlein freak. i've got 34 of his books. "the grass groks in happy beauty".
ah, another sci-fi fanatic. i enjoyed Stranger, though i did have some problems with the book itself. mostly the way women were portrayed and the fact that Smith had sex and then he became a man. >_<;;
i haven't read any of Heinlein's other stuff, but his writing is good. i mostly read Stranger because it's the most famous sci-fi novel ever written.
have you read any of Piers Anthony's stuff? he sucked me in with the Incarnations of Immortality series, and i'm still waiting for him to finish writing the next in the Mode series
i don't think i've read any anthony, but i may just pick it up now. i've got nothing better to do, waiting for the next harry potter book. i would definitely reccomend the moon is a harsh mistress. it's one of heinlein's best, and you will love the way women are treated in it :) basically, they out number men one to ten or so, and the society changes to adapt to that, with women in complete control. there is no rape on luna. the loonies would rip a new chum to shreds just for touching a woman who didn't want to be touched. i like loony society, wish it were real and i could go live there.
Dibs!! Um... I'm gonna be in MoVal next week. Knott's Berry Farm, y'know. :::puppy dog eyes::: I'll bring Miyu back, and I should be done with The Color Purple by then, too!
