Well, this is certainly unexpected

So. Uh. I seem to have gotten myself a job.

Yeah, I know. It's shocking to me, too.



It's actually a sort of temporary position where my mom works, but I suppose it's better than nothing. I was interviewed on Monday (and had found out the position would be open last Friday), and just had my orientation today. I'll be officially starting on Monday. M-W-F from 8am-4:30pm, so it's a real part-time job.

*crickets*

Yeah.

I'm pretty much filling in the receptionist position since their person is on maternity leave for the next three or four months. But I'll also be doing other projects under the Social Services director. Seems pretty easy for the most part, so I won't complain. And Brian (the facility administrator) said that if things work out, then beyond the 3 months, they might want to keep me as a consultant. This makes me very happy. The idea of finally earning money and working makes me happy. :3

Hopefully the receptionist stays out for four months.



I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I have to be at work on Monday.
