I've been having trouble with my layout, too. I'm not sure if it's LJ or Dreamhost. I usually just have to hit Refresh a couple times, and it comes up.

Same here. If I refresh, or go hit 'Previous 20' on my flist, my layout suddenly comes up. It's a bit annoying, but LJ was hit with a DDoS attack so I'm not quite sure what's going on.
