He was going to follow Sora; really, he was. Afterall, if he didn't watch over Sora to make sure he didn't die of alcohol poisioning, then who would? Those smelly pirates who looked like they'd rather rob Sora than help him? Riku was still keeping an eye on that Jack -- Captain Jack Sparrow -- after seeing the way his eyes had gleamed when looking at Sora's crown necklace, and his multitude of keychains.
But just as he turned, a quick flash of light over the ocean caught his eye. A shooting star. Riku marveled at the way that bright light looked, streaking through the night sky and reflected on the calm ocean waters. It was pretty, if depressing. The last time he'd seen a shooting star, he'd destroyed his own world.
Riku braced himself against the rail, vaguely able to hear Sora singing loudly below decks.
